Fingers crossed but he also said "nothing was resolved", so as a whole I think DW's going to want some time to think and maybe renegotiate a few terms Really want this fight this year and glad dialogue between these two has begun in March I'll enjoy the Miller & Breazeale fights in the interim. Would be an amazing spectacle if it came to fruition
That's a good sign. I think this fight is possible for the end of this year. Because who else would Joshua and Wilder fight (as big fights)? Fury definitely wants to take it easy for some time.
I'm delighted he's discovered the meeting as a valuable tool in negotiating a deal. Can only be seen as progress.
Sooo I guess he made the m right decision when he didn’t take the flat fee of 12.5 million like certain fanboys suggested he should.. Remember it was the most money he would ever make or even the $5 million to fight Whyte.. The guy was just offered $20 million for Breazeale and the ESPN article said at least $40 million for the AJ fight directly from Skipper..
They will try to finesse what they can from Dazn withought signing up to the Joshua fight I’m certain of it
Shows how much of a hinderence Finkels been the entire time, he needs to go! There's nothing to be resolved with those kind of numbers , numbers by the way which isn't exactly all that different from Hearns last offer for just two fights netting Wilder 80 million best case and 60 million worst case and anywhere in between that . Well at least Skipper can see what a headache Hearn went through. If Wilder doesn't take this or a deal he really does deserve a knockout loss to Breazeale !
That's because ACTUAL fans wanted to see the fight. You can't complain about money then cry that the fight didn't happen when 12.5 was not a contract it was a negotiated starting point that Finkel refused to negotiate when Wilder was making 1.4 million on average per fight. 12.5 is 25% on a 50 million dollar generated U.K fight anyway last year . He was offered an actual contract of 15 million Finkel agreed to . And it wasn't smart at all because he lost the Fury fight and shouldn't even have the belt now. Lol
AJ & Hearn demand 2.3 trillion $ payday, 50 million not emough. The fight is just not big enough yet.
"...Deontay Wilder offered $50m DAZN double deal BEFORE Anthony Joshua. ... DAZN have put a massive $50m deal on the table for Deontay Wilder in a two-fight offering. Talks between both parties were set for this week, with DAZN hell-bent on securing the services of the WBC heavyweight champion. The end-game will be a huge undisputed unification with Anthony Joshua over two fights in 2020. ... " https://www.*****.net/2019/03/13/deontay-wilder-50m-dazn-anthony-joshua/ P.S. According to World Boxing News website.
Wilder should have just took Hearns last offer , in a two way rematch. Now the fool has to worry about getting knocked out by Breazeale and getting by another guy after that which if it's Klitschko or Usyk he's going to lose anyway. There's literally no common sense in the Wilder camp. If these are the guys he has to get past , that Joshua fight is looking awfully bleak. Lol It's Hearns fault though, the guy that wanted the fight next and had Wilder signed already would not have a dangerous mandatory to fight in the way either .
Frankly speaking, I doubt those two opponents will be too good. Especially the first one. Simply because Hearn himself is not interested in Wilder losing. Quite on the opposite — he needs a "devastating KO machine" Wilder, smashing those keepers on his way to AJ and his throne to make their potential fights with Joshua as big as possible. It could be, though, that DAZN will demand tougher opponents (because they desperately need more subscribers) so yeah, it could be somewhat risky for Deontay.
Breazeale offers no threat to Wilder....and he's getting paid $20m for it. Think he's played an absolute blinder here. Most are praising Whyte for not taking a "lowball" offer, and realising his worth and look how that went. Wilder does the same, the gamble pays off, and he's slated. Where's the consistency with people?
Breazeale holds no threat ? Tell that to other top era HWs who missed out on massive paydays bc of a loss in a fight they needed to win to get there in fights they couldn't possibly lose. Lol I'm pretty sure a guy with 90% K.O record against a guy not so technical is a disaster waiting to happen sooner then later. Whyte didn't make a smart choice whatsoever , ....lol what's so great about turning down 15 million in a guaranteed AJ two fight contract you SUPPOSEDLY think you'll win which then makes you roughly 25 million of the rematch for Whyte is 50%? LOl. How long do you think it would it will take Whyte to make those numbers or before he takes another L ? Wilder is slated because he's jerked the fans around since April 2018 and shouldn't even have the belt now to negotiate anything at this time !
