The top players in the world do not participate in any of the "global" baseball conpetitions.
All of the top players in the world go to the MLB, it absolutely and without a doubt represents the top talent and the best teams in the world. Not trying to be a ***** about it, and I hope I am not coming off that way, but LA Liga is not comparable. There are multiple leagues that can compete with LA Liga (EPL, Bundesliga, Serie A, etc) the only other league that comes close to competing with MLB talent is the Japanese, and their best players also leave for the US when they develop their game enough to make the MLB.

Still, calling it the World Series is arrogant to say the least.

Put ANY other baseball team in any league in the world inside the MLB for a full 162 game league season. They best Japanese baseball team would finish in the basement of the standings. The MLB is by far the highest level baseball league in the world.

There is absolutely no possible way a japanese baseball team could compete in the MLB. Just no ****ing chance in hell. Journeyman, MLB washouts go to the Japan league and become MVP level players. Superstar Japanese league players come to the MLB and look like average roster players.

america just invent sports and do a good job of selling them to the world by saying its best, rather than simply compete in existing sports and come last. then other people largely dont join in with their new sports, so they can claim they got the best with some authority.

its niche, like rugby, where only 3 or 4 teams bother to try to win the world cup. the other 20 teams only turn up for the free beer. SO yeah its a trick they learned from britain..England rarely finish outside the top 5 in rugby because noone else cares enough to beat them in it. Hooray we won a sport that we made up, rather than bother coming last in the sport it mimics.

That said, some of its interesting, so credit to them for making new sports up that can be followed by others.

There are plenty of non Americans who excel in the MLB. Which is far and away the best league in the world. They just come to the American league because it's far more lucrative.

Plenty of non American fighters are dominant fighters. Historically everybody has come to America. Because the American economy takes a massive dump on the rest of the worlds economy.

Would love to see Jacobs beat Clenelo. Believe he can do it.

becos its advertised well as being that for the 230 years following it.

Theres been hundreds of Independence days, but USA shouts the loudest about theres. Nevertheless I have no issue with it nor any 4th of July, its all good and gives us Sleepy Hollow, for starters. Just that Canada Day is way better over here in London, in my exp.

To be fair, and I should be fair - I'd not expect 4th of July to be big in the country it deshackled itself from!

America is the land free and home of the brave. So 4th of July is a big deal for us.

Well then we agree to disagree. It without a doubt identifies the best team in the world. 30% of the league is international players as well FYI.
