Great news, just saw it in the schedules.
Series 1 of The Contender is on, just before it at 12:45 am, with 16 middleweights.

Remember to record the programme just after on the schedule too. If the show overruns it won’t recor.

They're showing 3 of the undercard fights too I think, which aren't up to much but if nothing else means that they'll show the full cards in the future too.

Can’t wait lads. My initial disappointment that it should be Loma/Garcia and Spence/Crawford has subsided.

A real dare to be great fight. Boxing is full of hall of famers who take the leap up to face an equally elite fighter.

    Still picking a spence stoppage

I wonder what Garcia sees in Spence that he believes he can beat him? I believe he can, but I wonder what Garcia sees. It’s difficult to find flaws in Spence’s game. He is pretty solid, does everything really well. I can’t spot any weaknesses. I just think Garcia can edge him on points by nicking those early rounds and building a lead. The pressure will be on Spence to bully the smaller man and stop him...will it frustrate him when he can’t land big?

Could just be talking out my backside lads. Fascinating fight though.

Great to see two of the best fighters in the game fighting each other on itv.

Putting it in to record now because I am sure to forget on Saturday, I hope spence wins seen as I can't warm to garcia for some reason.

I think this will be a massacre.

I've been trying to convince myself in recent weeks that Mikey will do it, but I honestly don't think he has any chance at all. I too am mystified as to what team Garcia sees that makes them believe their man will win.

Don't think Mikey will be the same after this fight personally.

Really pleasing news, will watch for sure.

Anybody know how many tickets they've sold for the fight?

The time change is due to America putting their clocks forward earlier than us in the UK- the programme is scheduled to end at just before 6am.
