Would you pick any Welterweights to beat a prime Sugar Ray Robinson?

    Actually no one, Their is no film of him at welter. But their is PLENTY of film of him at Middleweight. And you don't need to be a genius to visualize if he looked that good at middleweight, and beyond his prime. The absolute terror he was in prime at welter. How many fighters from the 1900's thru 1930's have ANY film on them? Esp enough film were one can learn enough about the fighter to give a rational opnion of them .....

    I wouldn't take anyone against him. Walker, Leonard and Hearns would be potentially good fights.

    Half of the Bernard Docusen fight.
    There should be some short clips of one more, but I cannot remember which one.

    There is no welterweight I'd pick to beat a prime 147 pound Robinson, certainly not Ray Leonard. Robinson by UD. 145-141

    I actually think Hearns would do better against SRR, but I wouldn't pick him to win.
