PBC is aligned with Fox. They need to keep their pool of fighters as big as possible. It ain't obvious to you?

Their interests are obvious. However, if a fighter is supposedly free to change platforms, and Al Haymon is just an advisor, it seems like an incredible vice like grip he has on those fighters, unless they are somehow tied to him, regardless of what is being reported.

When you only fight once a year a loss will effectively kill your career. You cant bounce back when you the public hasnt seen you win in over a year.

Yes, he pretty much ruined Quillin's career.

no "pretty much" about it, Quillin has hardly fought since joining PBC. hasn't even sniffed a title shot.

I don't know how he "made" these guys do anything, unless you have some insider info.

much like politicians and religious leaders, he seems to be able to get people to go against their own best interests.

That's up to them to decide. They are rich one way or another, and maybe they just want to fight on a network instead of an ap.

Yeah, Haymon advised him to VACATE his WBO title rather than face Matt Korobov and missed out on a huge payday, then Haymon benched him for an entire year.

A copy of an Al Haymon advisory contract was leaked in 2014, note Clause 1, section C (ii)

Any agreement or arrangements the fighter makes related to boxing whether directly or indirectly must have prior consent from Haymon. So Wilder, Broner and Quillin could of never agreed those deals they rejected even if they wanted to unless Haymon gave them authority to do so.

That's f***** up. So you pretty much have to hand over your career to one man.

Do you know how long these advisory contracts are for?
