    Solid thread.

If he arguably beat Canelo, he arguably lost to Jacobs.

He was avoided by an old af Martinez, and an old af tiny Cotto. Wow!

And favoring him against fighters doesn't give him a better rating, actually fighting them and beating them do.

I really don't understand how fans can dislike fighters for the dumbest reasons.

The only fighter I dislike is Paulie, and that started when he was crying robbery against Juan Diaz when he himself got two controversial wins against Ndou and Ngoudjo.

some people overrate him at the moment, admittedly, but when WE LET HIM FNISH HIS CAREER by defeating a string of elites then they wont be overrating him. 11 more defences and he smash hopkins record then you wont be overrating him. 6 more elites and he smash haglers number of elites, then you wont be laughing.

Definitely overrated but still a very good fighter, He's overrated in the sense that people created this image of this devastating puncher that could just walk through everybody and nobody could take his power and nobody could hurt him or keep him off, he's just an invincible machine. When he stepped up to true world class fighters the KO power disappeared and while nobody has truly hurt him, he fought timid vs canelo at many times during the both fights and that invincible i'll cut the ring off and just walk you down image went out of the window.

I like GGG a lot, But he is on similar level to a canelo, jacobs etc, neither of these fighters have proved they are truly a step above each other, but all 3 fighters are truly world class elite fighters, The GGG hype train has done him an injustice, while he never talked **** himself people bigged him up so much that when he couldn't dominate another great fighter but puts up a very close fight, people don't give him the respect he deserves. They just think about how he was built up to be this unstoppable machine, that turned found him self in a competitive close fight and had vulnerabilities. Canelo is potential hall of famer two close debatable fights with him means you are truly elite.

Its a bit like conor mcgregor in mma, conor is a very very good mma fighter but when you talk so much **** ( or in gggs case the fanboys big him up beyond belief) then you lose to another great fighter like canelo or khabib, that **** and hype talking bites you in the ass even in a close fight. Conor got merked by khabib ggg had a very close fight arguably won but the point still stands, if you can't back up the hype you don't look good even in a close fight. GGG only has a couple of true world class opponents on his resume which is another big shame.

Khabib completely dismantled McGregor and McGregor was the one who threw a dolly through a window.
GGG won in the eyes of the majority and Canelo was the one who got banned for drugs.

Worth noting that McGregor didn't receive any punishment from the UFC for his stunt. It doesn't take a genius to see why McGregor has the haters he does.

I'm just curious as to why he makes so many anti-GGG threads.

Abraham?? Really bro? Lol..GGG was nobody when AA was campaigning at MW.

Felix Sturm was a protected overhyped fighter who couldn't beat a a fat smaller DLH fighting above his best weight.

My guess is because he likes to rile up the GGG groupies who go mental when GGG is criticized.

He was a nobody because his promoters were the same as Sturm's and Abrahams, GGG fought a fighter that had not long fought for the middleweight title against Abraham, it took Abraham 12 on points to beat him, GGG destroyed him (Simon), people knew what he was about ! He was feared coming up because of what he done as an amateur and the way he was going through people, but being Kazak he had no fan base, or none compared to the established Sturm or Abraham in Germany where the champions were, its simple really isn't it. De la hoya lost that fight, you know it and why, I don't have to explain

Remember the "good boy" talk and claiming his opponents knew they were goosed after the "first punch".

Or saying he was going to give 147lb Kell Brook a street fight? lol :elboinas:

Why didn't he have a street fight with Canelo? :confundio1:

Remember how he mocked Canelo for running a marathon around the ring and goaded him into a brawl , only to then get walked down and backed up when Canelo obliged him.
And then his fanboys tried to pass it off as a good strategy even when his own trainer said he deviated from the game plan. Utterly embarrassing. :roflmao:

Gennady boy just ins't prepared to dig deep and go to the places many ATGs have in the past in order to win by any means necessary.
Canelo made the adjustments , and took the risks and gambles GGG wouldn't. Thats he he deserved the win. :drive:

He's not a bum. He is elite but controversial fights and a unification over Lemieux is all he offers that makes him overated for the amount of hype he recieves.
