I'm pretty sure they wouldn't turn down $60 million before they see a rematch with him. Besides, although it's a fortune, people have their pride. Wilder might not be anywhere near as money mad as Eddie. Might be a respect thing for him.
Come on, you're grasping here. He either can't take the deal due to breach of contract with uncle Al, or he's just stupid. For a guy that wanted more $$$ to fight the likes of Whyte and for his Joshua deal, you can't use the "maybe it's not about the money for him" excuse. Certainly with this insane amount on the line. It's highly unlikely that he ever sees near that amount even if he goes to ESPN, and staying with PBC... well... then it's certainly not going to happen.
I'd imagine this is the likely scenario although how uncle Al can compete and still attract top boxers in the current boxing landscape is beyond me.

Haymon is a real man of mystique. Hearn genuinely calls him a genius and we know Hearn has nothing good to say about any other managers or promoters. I often wonder how Al makes his money from the sport.

The acid test will come with the next generation. Haymon has been at this for some time and has plenty of the current guys already signed. Whether they're regretting that now as the landscape is changing is another question.

There’s some right oddballs on here that would prefer Wilder didn’t sign with DAZN so that it ‘sticks it’ to Hearn. Personally I’d rather see the biggest HW fight in years.
Honestly Wilder would be even dumber than even I thought if he threw the baby out with the bath water, knocking back a $100 million dollar deal because he doesn’t like Hearn. Even if he has a similar offer from someone else he won’t get the chance to be undesputed which he claims is what he wants more than anything. I’m wondering if this whole story isn’t actually true cause it make no sense.
Haymon has to be a smart dude , his clients speak well of him and it appears that he has definitely improved their pay. I am not sure if DAZN’s business plan can support the current money they are paying fighters but if you are a middleweight contender today you would have to be thinking hard about DAZN. Signing Wilder along with Joshua would influence other Heavyweights.DAZN are moving into other countries and adding other sports and if they can do that and maintain their current pricing for streaming ESPN ,Sky,BT etc will be very worried
Thread on the general forum shows you how DAZN can stay afloat for many a year. Their owners are ludicrously rich plus they only need 1% of the US population to be making ridiculous profit. I think they’re throwing so much at Wilder because then subscriber numbers would rocket for that fight alone.
Things like that dont work on population though. It's the amount of households which is alot less than the population but would reach a higher amount of the population if that makes sense?
Yeah I understand but again even if 1% of the US households register then it’s a lot of money. Then you’ve got all the other countries they’re in / going in to. Plus people need to realise it’s not solely a boxing app. It offers many other sports which would be cheaper to buy but add recurring subscriptions. I seen projected PPV buys of 2 mil for Joshua v Wilder. If they could get 2 million subscribers that’s $24 million a month. If they keep their subscription for 4 months that’s your $100mil. Some will keep it longer, some will terminate. But as I’ve said before as a fan of boxing (not of Hearn/Warren/matchroom/Queensbury) DAZN is amazing value.
I think this eventually gets made even if it’s in say 2020 or 2021. It’ll likely be in Vegas however and I shudder to think what the PPV cost would be in the UK if it’s under the Sky banner.
