Man I can't either you don't see fights like this to often big props to Garcia for moving up two weight divisions to fight the most avoided fighter in the sport currently! Just hope his brother gives Garcia a chance don't jump the gun and throw the towel in early or something like that!!
It's not really jumping up 2 divisions, he's fought at 140 recently. He's definitely the underdog though.
I’m SO hyped for this! I have some fear for the health of Garcia, and consider him a major underdog in this fight. He won’t be beaten as badly as Brook was against Golovkin, but Spence may still inflict some permanent damage on Mikey. BUT, I won’t outright outright dismiss the possibility of Garcia pulling the upset! Brook is no Garcia, and Spence is no Golovkin.
robert is a pro who can read what is happening in the ring with mikey, better than anyone in the world. i know he would never let mikey get banged around like thurman did in his last fight, mainly because he knows mikey is smart enough to take a knee. if hes that discombobulated robert knows mikey is out of it and will throw in the towel. if theres only like 20 seconds left in that situation, i think he gives mikey the chance to make it to the stool. i think mikey will be hurt in this fight, more hurt than he has ever been hurt before, but i think hes smart enough to weather the storm... as long as theres not too many storms.
Only problem is Robert didn't save Margarito when he could/should have. Maybe it's different because Mikey is blood.
Ya I remember at the time man were they building Lacy up so much! But to his credit Joe Calzaghe for what he was a heck of a fighter. With a very very unique style lol the angles i remember Jones after the fight be it that he and Calzaghe were both way over the hill at that stage in there career. Was saying "Those Slaps were alot harder than he thought they'd be" lol
