Just for the record Drew101 isn't a SRL fanboy in any way, shape, or form. He's been one of the very best posters in here since Jesus was a boy. It's a pity he doesn't post as often as he used to.
Just for the record I didn’t really call him one. I did make a general claim that SRL fanboys would score any close fight for him in regards to Duran I and the hypothetical Napoles fight (but it was really a joke or just trying to get SRL guys riled up). The response I gave here was answering the question of do people really score SRL Duran I for SRL. I gave 2 examples of which Drew was 1. I didn’t call him anything, just answerd a question by using his post as an example. I am not sure he or I was on this forum when Jesus was a boy lol, but I agree he is a quality poster and wished he posted more. Cheers
Also worthy of mention is that Leonard was extremely green and a full 9 fights away from challenging for the title.
I'd favor Leonard here. There's just not many Welters i'd take him over. It would be a great fight and quite competitive. I think Napoles has some technical advantages but Leonard has all that speed and a great engine. Napoles timing and skill would make it competitive but i see Leonard's speed getting him home. It might even come to a cuts stoppage.
No worries Philly. It seemed you lumped him into that category by your comments. All good - i'd quiz someone if i thought you were unfairly labelled too mate.
Well ,Hearns was outboxing Leonard before Tommy's weak chin showed itself, Close fight, I'd make Ray a 6-5 favorite
Agreed , a lot showed for Tommy that fight.. Didn't know how to stay away being up on the cards, gassed, didn't clinch or hold when hurt.. big difference in the rematch where he did that …. Napoles Ray coin flip fight for me
Leonard and easier then people think . What fighter did Napoles ever fsce that was as fast as Leonard? Now I think Benitez isnt as skilled as Napoles but its close. Leonard too fast.
