I'd probably root for Kelly, (NE Ohio guy and all), I don't see where he would fit in with the CWs. There really isn't much there (in the states), If he's just coming back to have a couple fights and end on a high note, I'm all for it though. He definitely wouldn't beat any of the LHW's.

Terrible idea, obviously money is low. Past prime, would be shot to ****, his weight wouldn't be right and he's had a heavy problem with alcohol in the past. Don't do it Kelly, be remembered for what you were, a h2h monster, on track !

By the time he got in good enough shape to go 12 hard rounds and had his timing back he would be well past prime, he already is past his physical prime by a few years probably.

It’s best to call it a day. And get into the sport in some other way, maybe training and maybe a littte sparing.

Agree buddy, he has not business stepping back in the ring at this stage in his life. I was a huge fan as well remember seeing him live take the Title From Jermaine Taylor what a fight that was!!

I don't see anything wrong with him coming back for a few fights against the type of guys he fought at 168. He can do what Briggs did in his mid 40's.
There's still a small enough window for him to turn over a few club levellers to get the itch out of his system.

Former world champ taking on club fighters? Why not? I agree that he shouldn't aim for the top.

I do agree, if he really wants to fight again, that’s up to him, do what truly makes you happy. That being said, he’ll be 37 next month, he hasn’t fought in nearly 7 years and he was not kind to his liver and battled some serious demons. I would hate to see him take any unnecessary punishment after getting out of the sport relatively healthy and with everything he’s been through. I’ve aleays been a huge fan of Kelly. He’s brutally honest, tough as nails and he seems like a really nice dude. I met him years ago and he couldn’t have been nicer. He seemed like a cool, down to earth, regular dude. Either way, best of luck to him. If he does comeback, I’ll be watching and pulling for him.

Pavlik is his prime was a a solid but basic fighter with bad reflexes. No way he can come back and be successful 7 years out of the game. Become a trainer anything but a comeback
