Finkel has said Wilder/Breazeale will not be on DAZN after their meeting and DAZN's deal was 3 fights, Breazeale for $20 mill and Joshua for $40 mill for 2 fights, so it looks pretty clear they are turning down the current 3 fight deal on offer.

Does that mean they won't do a deal with DAZN for the Joshua fights? No it doesn't but it doesn't look good at all and honestly there is no reason for Breazeale not to be on DAZN, Wilder is not tied to any network, no way it makes more money elsewhere. If we read between the lines it spells a duck.

Yep and whether the drug fail was made up or not when old man Ortiz failed Wilder had so issue taking the fight again whether he was doping or not, but when Povetkin failed a test having not even had the B sample tested, Wilder ran away at the first opportunity, forcing the WBC to scrap the fight.

The inconsistent choices there clearly showed that doping had little to do with not wanting the Povetkin fight.

Good fighters all of them, yes, but Povetkin and Ortiz were in their mid/late 30's and Fury was coming back from a long inactivity of binge drinking and gaining more than a 100 lbs (was it in the neighborhood of 200 lbs even?). And Ortiz nearly beat him and Fury should have gotten the W, so from that perspective Joshua as of right now presents a formidable threat.

Hell of a risk to take, though. The first one was damn good. Such an offer is a once in a life time opportunity for anyone bar AJ and Canelo of today's active fighters. Maybe even for them it would be, and Wilder hasn't shown nearly that kind of earning potential so far. Logically he should have bit their hand off at this opportunity.

Al Harmon has an iron, vice grip on his fighters. I don’t know how but these guys constantly turn down better opportunities to stay with Al and fight once a year against easy competition for much less money than they could get elsewhere.

Yes that much is pretty clear. He made Quillin throw away his belt, Broner pass on a $40 mill Roc Nation deal and now prevent Wilder signing a $100 mill deal, which is bigger than Showtimes whole budget for last year and most likely this year.

Which is why I think it's less Wilder is scared and it's more his handlers preventing him from taking these opportunities. I always found the fact Wilder emailing Hearn directly with an offer very strange I think that was a move from him to try and actually start serious negotiations and force his handlers to respond but they just refused meetings and delayed proceedings until the WBC mandated the Povetkin fight.

DiBella was the one the reached out to Skipper to set up the meetings with DAZN, maybe he's the only one in Wilder's team that actually wants the fight, but Haymon is the one that controls everything, unless he decides the fight can be made, it won't happen.

Is there any quotes or confirmation of rejecting the 100 million offer, are people running off on an article that is opinion based?

I remember when everyone on here jumped the gun and assumed that Fury wasn't going to take the first fight with Wilder because some journalist hack said he had bumped into a member from Fury's team, who said he had second thoughts about the fight.

People that never learn, always end up looking like fools in the end.

Hasn't it been floating around for a while the DAZN were interested in getting the mandatory and the Joshua fight.

Since Finkel has confirmed that the mandatory isn't going to be shown on DAZN then it's probably a fair assumption that the deal has been rejected.

You're right, it's too early to say anything for sure yet. So this thread should be more of a "what if" scenario.

I hope Wilder and Joshua meet when they're still at least as relevant as today, but for me the nr 1 fight at HW right now is AJ vs Fury since I agree with the majority that Fury really beat Wilder.

This is the type of grip Haymon has. Martin thinks you turn down that kind of money because loyalty is important.

I’m sure his kids will thank him for his loyalty when he’s broke.

By the time this does 2m on PPV that it would need to in order to make the $100m Wilder would have made he will be atleast 36 years old if ever.

    Yes we need to wait.

Big fan of Wilder but if he does reject the 100 million and the AJ fight doesn't happen after Breazelle for whatever reason then it would be right in calling it a duck.

100 million is a win win for everyone

The only mitigating factor would be Wilder unwilling to leave Haymon out of loyalty but again that wouldn't be enough justification because Al should be advising him to pocket the cash, unify and then be open to sign again in future back with Showtime
