Garcia v Spence on ITV4 2:00 am, Sunday morning.

Great news and great for boxing fans that we're getting these fights televised for free. he romantic in me thinks Mikey can do it, after all, Kell Brook was winning rounds against Spence, the worry for me is that Spence is far more capable of ending this than Mikey is. It's going to be interesting.

 

size differemce is huge but I hope garcia pulls it off

I really like Mikey but this is a hard task. He's a smal Lww and Spence is a big ww

 

My heart has ruled head throughout the build up and I’ve always been adament Garcia could see it through.

Admittedly the weigh in has me worried- Spence will rehydrate no bother to 157 and look comfortable; whereas Garcia naturally belongs closer to super feather and doesn’t look too comfortable up on the stage.

Still, buzzing for this fight.

 

It's a 17 fight card....not sure how much ITV will show.

 

Good post. Looking at it from a psychological point of view, is that 10ib rehydration he’s gotta stick to enough to get a good nights sleep without hunger pangs and thirst? I’m admittedly clutching at straws but is that enough to get the sufficient fluid around his body and brain so that those shots from Garcia don’t hurt as much?

The sensible choice is Spence...I just really rate Garcia massively. If he pulls this off, there’s an argument for him being P4P number 1.

 

I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed ,20. This is an easy win for Spence. He's bigger and better.

 

Presumably most of it, the listings say the show lasts 5 hours although wouldn't be surprised if there's an overrun like with the Thurman fight.

 

Definitely bigger bud. I don’t think he’s as good though...but the qualities he has, combined with his size could prove you right. Still going for a Garcia decision.

 

I'm hoping for a Garcia win. He's a much more skilled boxer and I feel Spence is massively over rated.

 

A good big 'un beats a good little 'un, as an actress said to a bishop.

 

We'll see. I think Garcia is a better boxer but size could well decide this. Don't think I'll stay up though. The undercard isn't great and I'll be up at 5 for the F1.

I would guess it will be there or there abouts. I got a bottle of Kracken black rum in the house, so If I get well into that I'll end up watching it but not remembering a thing !!

 

Yes it has changed since the initial listing. The Contender series has now been dropped. Boxing now sandwiched between The Dirty Dozen and Kojack. Think I'll get up at 3.30, just in case, recording gets messed up.
