    Hi Adam,

Have a look at Sky and DAZN relationship in Europe. DAZN are already heavily targeting European football. As I said DAZN will be side loaded with BT and SKY packages.

Your right to point out Joshua only has 3 fights left with Sky, I wonder where he will go next?

Try not to be so bitter about your failing sports platform.

He's genuinely having a breakdown and winding himself up

After he rants he tells kugan he's ready to answer anything else. He's talking like a fighter, when usually he's so smug, calm and composed

Hearn is playing a risky game here
I get that he sees streaming and DAZN in this instance as the future of not just boxing but the way sports in general are watched at home
    Totally get it
And yea Brits are gonna suffer hence Dave Allen headlining the 02

However DAZN have signed Canelo and managed to get Wilder to the table at the very least
All this with no Hearn involvement

I could see them trying to Sign AJ once he becomes a free agent down the road
They might start thinking let's cut out the middle man as we don't need him

Good points. Hearn does some good business but he’s also a complete liability at times, alienating key fighters and promoters and managers by deriding them with schoolboy nicknames.

Let’s not forget that he has called Wilder a “keyboard warrior” when he was world heavyweight champion, his manager “Shirley Winkle” and plenty more for Dibella and Espinoza. Does anyone really think this sort of behaviour is conducive to business.

Eddie is like Santino Corleone but with a fraction of his panache and aggression: an absolute liability to his own business.

The way he carried on when he first started in America has for sure gone against him

Just to throw it out there Hearn is very very good friends with Simon Denyer the founder of Perform Group who own DAZN. It’s the reason he got the gig in the first place and therefore very unlikely he’s going anywhere. Put it this way they know and trust him enough to give him $120m a year to spend in the US alone and they are giving him contracts in new markets all the time. He’s already mentioned he has a contract lined up for Japan and Spain on top of the others he has. The other thing is the Hearn character in all of the YouTube vids is there to promote DAZNand get the name out in a new market. It’s the reason he is throwing outlandish remarks of offers out there.

I've said it before, that both Sky and Matchroom's success was mainly off the back of AJ and conning the sky sheep that all and every single one of his fights were ppv worthy.

Now he's gone to the States where the real money is, they are crumbling before our very eyes.

This is why he has been protected for so long and been involved in so many risk adverse fights, Miller being the latest one, and AJ even admits that he is ****.

It's only now that networks are throwing big money at the other big heavyweights that AJ is interested in taking part in the big fights.

Had Fury vs Wilder not happened and stubhub not stopped, Him and Eddie would have the likes of Pulev,MIller and Allen scheduled for another 90,000 sold out within 2 minutes spectacle at wembley and 29.99 ppv for the dummies at home.

    Spot on.

And agreed on AJ "being" for all and intents and purposes, Sky boxing. He was totemic and symbolic of it.

We've gone from Smith saying explicitly "we're behind Anthony Joshua all the way" a mere few months ago, to an Alan Partridge style rundown of other sporting ventures.

Sky and Smith have been had, big time. They were just stepping stones.

Youth hostelling with Chris Eubank anyone?

To be fair to Smith whilst the netball thing was pretty funny, I imagine that comes from the fact that he'll be told to ensure that pushing women's sport is something everyone associated with Sky should be doing. Never mind that a lot of it is garbage that nobody watches; you see this across the board.

So taking the attention away from netball for a moment, Sky Sports still seems fairly solid for now. They've got the vast majority of the football sewn up which, to all intents and purposes, is sport for the majority of the UK. Second most popular sports? Possibly cricket when the Ashes is on? Sky have that. Formula 1? They've got that as well. They show most of the major golf tournaments and the Ryder Cup. Rugby seems to be across either terrestrial channels or Sky. Obviously the darts is fairly popular and nobody watches any of the BDO rubbish anymore.

I've no doubt that at some point they'll have to change when streaming becomes how we watch pretty much everything. But domestically they still seem to be miles ahead of everything else.

I detest Sky Sports i would like to tell you that now. Especially over the last few years, quality of coverage seems to have gone down and prices still gone up. I detest how they have Female Pundits now in their PL Coverage and i hate how they have pumped too much money into the football which has made it into a middle class only area.

All i’m saying is DAZN need to get the UK Preimer League Rights from Sky if they want to be relevant here. And they need first pick packages such as the two sunday kick off slots. It’ll cost billions of pounds and it will turn into a bidding war as Sky will defend those packages with everything they have. Will DAZN really put in the investment for a country as small as ours ?

2021 is when the next PL Tender goes for sale. 2020 is when Champions League rights go on sale. And 2021 is when the Matchroom/Sky Sports Contract for Boxing is Scheduled to expire. Intresting times ahead
