    lol, thats crazy. when i think of the face of an aztec warrior, like you see on their coins and murals, nobody in the fight game looks more like that than those 2, just look at them. hes right, mikey doesnt rank among the mexican legends, his ranking is in america.

    Mikey is an American of Mexican decent. He IS Mexican but the difference is he grew up in America and its a huge cultural difference. Thats how most Mexicans see it.

    Always a rivalry between Mexicans from Mexico & Mex Americans...

    Exactly, on point statement. If anyone has been to any sort of a boxing match in Mexico when a Mexican is fighting a non Mexican, even if he is Mexican by birth parents, they always cheer for the home team. I understand but nobody ever said that to Oscar De La Hoya in his career at all,he was excepted in Mexico and America so Erik sounds like a bitter old man.

    yeah, but oscar earned their love and respect early, he flew their colors in the ring when he won gold at the olympics. he wasnt trying to make bigger checks back then.

    I've met plenty of Chicano's in my time with 1st MarDiv that would walk into Tijuana or Mexico City and pimp out a lot of supposed tough Mexicans from those cities for less than pennies and become millionaires doing it.
