This fight was just like Calzaghe v Lacy, this was like Winky Wright v Tito. Garcia was awful at welter. Was Spence that good or was Garcia just that bad?

A mixture of both but I must say I found Spence thoroughly impressive tonight, used his obvious physical advantages really well and never looked threatened at all.

Its easy to take the angle of "Oh he's just beaten up a tiny guy compared to him" etc and most probably will, I'm more inclined to say well done sir on a fine performance however. It'd be good to see him get the respect he has now undoubtedly earned

Lacy didn't come up 2 weightclasses to challenge Calslappy.

And stop coming up with that old fight, it hasn't been remotely relevant for many years now.

Nothing like Calzaghe/Lacy. Unlike Garcia, Lacy was a solid betting favorite and he did not move up in weight for the fight.

No. That was a SMW rivalry. Calzaghe in his mid 30s showed far better movement & variety than a peak Spence...

Super Joe whooping Lacy is always brought up when talking about beatings being dished out. But wouldn’t Vitali torturing a Roided up Briggs be a better example? Lol

Well its because that is in fact the case. Mikey looked slow, flabby and had zero pop on his punches. On top of that he was simply too short with his T Rex arms to get passed that long jab of Spence. Spence looked great in there and hes one of the best in the world but you got to keep things in perspective. This was a very good big man against a good small man.

well, bit wrong to be honest, Joe at age 34 was hoping to win his first recognised title when he stepped up to face the still somewhat poor lacy, whereas both these guys done that a long time ago.
