Here we go! Feeling quite awake here. Epic if mikey does this!

 

I can see Mikey having some early success but think Spence will slowly break him down and stop him late. Hope to be wrong, I'd love to see Garcia cause a shock.

 

Got Spence 2 up but Mikey looks like he’s got a lot more to give here.

 

Spence fighting terrifically in the 4th and looking very in control. Fight coming to life.

Kudos to Mikey for making it to the bell, that was a beating.

 

Credit to Garcia for surviving but that was painful to watch.

Told you lads, Garcia by decision for me!!

Should have stopped the fight in the championship rounds. I couldn’t watch my son taking a beating like that, he needed saving from himself because he showed a serious chin, heart and character to keep going.

Spence was terrific, he used his advantages well and threw some beautiful shots. I thought he outboxed him at times but I also think he slowed Garcia right down in the opening rounds with the weight behind his shots.

The jump up in weight affected Garcia badly. He lost his speed and explosiveness. Spence used his reach advantage, controlled the distance and his jab was brilliant. It was a ram-rod in Garcia's face all night. Garcia just couldn't get inside, and I think you could see from pretty early on, how that fight was going. I'm surprised Spence didn't go for the stoppage more, but I think Garcia hit him hard enough in the 2nd round to Keep Spence honest and switched on for the whole fight and he boxed his way to victory and still dished out a bit of a beating in the process. He probably won't get a lot of credit since he was supposed to beat the smaller man coming up, but that was still very impressive tonight, he boxed the perfect fight more or less and to dominate Mikey Garcia like that takes some doing.

Garcia showed heart and balls but that was a sustained beating he took tonight. One that can put some serious miles on the clock. I hope it hasn't taken too much out of him and he comes back as good as he was before this. He needs to get back down to lightweight or light-welter.

 

Bottom line was Spence with all his advantages in this fight could not stop a 135 fighter..

And still his career best win vs Brook who was dead at 147 too.. Lol
