I thought Garcia was awful, thee have been fighters that have fared much better moving up in weight to challenge the bigger guy, Conn being one of them v Louis, who else comes to mind for fans?

I'm sorry mate, but this is just another pointless thread.

Seriously, why don't you think before you post?

There's tons of examples of smaller guys moving up and beating or coming close to beating bigger guys. But that's because although they were giving up physical advantages, they had other attributes which could fill the void.

Mikey Garcia didn't have any attributes that gave him an advantage.

    He had nothing.

    He was giving up:

    Height
    Reach
    Weight
    Strength
    Power
    Speed
    Skills

It was a mountain to climb.

He had absolutely nothing going in his favour.

    I agree.

    There's tons.

But it's just a pointless thread.

The guys you listed had advantages in other areas, to compensate for being outsized.

    Mikey Garcia had none.

    He had no advantages whatsoever.

At least guys like Loma and Floyd had advantages in skills, speed and reach etc.

Thomas Hearns did better than most and does not get the credit. He won the light heavyweight title 2 times after winning the welterweight title. He even won a sort of title at Cruiserweight. He outboxed Virgil Hill in 1991 who was undefeated and had 10 title defenses. People seem to forget this.
