Actually Mikey was 152 or more at the time of the fight. He challenged Spence repeatedly and his challenge was accepted. He trained hard and was deemed worthy and ready by himself, his trainer, and his management team. He got his hat handed to him and now Spence is the villain? WTF! As for Manny, he has been fighting and winning at 147 longer than Spence and still is. He's old but he's not shot. I don't think that he would beat Spence but he would do better than Mikey and he is probably(with the exception of Crawford)the only 147 pounder that would fight Spence. The question should be, why don't all those other 147 pounders take a risk and fight Spence or go down in weight.
Here’s the bottom line Unless you are super special you stay in your weight class until you can’t make the weight no more Some guys don’t have the frame to move up and be competitive Not everyone can pull a manny and Floyd
Exactly the way I see it .he should only move up if ........ If he can't get the fights he needs/wants or he is draining thats all . My opinion only
I'm not saying Spence can beat him. I'm just saying if Spence were to win GGG cheer leaders will cry "past prime "
1. Mikey in a moment of hubris called Spence out sir................. As for Pac, I agree. Pac needs to be retired and would get ran over by Spence or Crawford. Finally, who wants to fight him? Porter? Crawford and Khan are busy. Danny isn't saying anything. Keith is in no way shape or form ready for him. There's not a lot else.
Past prime he most definitely is but even past prime GGG would spark him out cold. GGG ain't no career 140 pounder Paulie level featherfist or the good boy'd ghost of Brook.
