Yeah that 100m to cover that 1 fight! They need alot more than that to start making real money with the amount they are paying the boxers and that's without any other major American sport. Something has to give to make it all possible.

2m is about 1.5- 2 % of US households. They need waaay more than that.

Netflix rekon they are in 60% of household in the US. DAZN need to get a big American sport under their belt and it could fly. Trouble is ESPN already have the numbers. Interesting times at the moment as the whole landscape of how we consume entertainment is changing.

I work in this field so it fascinates and scares me!

The sooner people realise that Haymon is in the illuminati the better.

It will explain to you why his main fighters don't leave him even though it appears they would be getting more money. Haymon is back handing his fighters millions & millions, and probably got them doing occultic rituals to win fights. Why do you think his fighters thank him alongside God every time?

I'm being 110% serious. It maybe doesn't play out exactly as above but there will be elements of it.

I think people (including myself) were quick to jump on the “Wilder ducking” bandwagon.

If what he says is true and he sticks to his word then after the Breazeale fight he’s free to negotiate with Joshua/Fury/DAZN/ESPN.

If he goes and signs a multi flight deal for less money with someone else then it’s a duck.

As it stands it’s a gamble. Will he get offered $40mil + for just one fight against Joshua/Fury in future?

If how many people watch telly scares you I’d suggest you go out for a decent length walk.

Reframe what’s important to you. You shouldn’t be living in fear of something so ultimately pointless pal.

    Free advice.

Lol you completely didn't understand what i was saying! I was talking about the changing climate of how we see entertainment. I work in this field and its crazy at the minute. There is a storm coming with all these platforms. The fall out is going to be very interesting.

When you typed “it scares me” I thought you meant in the sense “it makes you feel frightened”

There must be another meaning to the word scared I’m not aware of. Or you simply don’t understand what you are typing?

I think it's definitely a gamble. For now DAZN must be operating at a loss, overspending to get the best fights in order to get the biggest market share. I don't think offers of this magnitude will be around forever. Plus beating Breazeale is not a given.

Exactly. The biggest purses will be available whilst the battle between platforms is ongoing. Should one platform become dominant they will drop dramatically. The combination of Joshua's emergence as a hw draw and his battle between platforms is Christmas Day for a relatively average fighter like Wilder, because on boxing talent or proven commercial drawing power no way is he worth the sums being discussed. He and his management need to consider their moves carefully because he's nearing 34 and these conditions may not be around forever.

Yeah like when you start a new job good scary, get a mortgage etc.

I thought using the word fascinates right before it would make it very clear!

Are you my old English teacher?

Could someone please tell me what exactly are Deontay Wilder's contract terms with PBC? How many fights, how many years, and how much money? I can't find anything specific online, and I feel that if I knew his PBC contract terms, it might help clarify expectations for the current heavyweights moving forward. Thanks in advance.
