That wasnt a fight, that was an exhibition and for Gibson almost an execution.

This dude Mahkmadov(sp? I really don't give AF how it's spelled) probably and maybe unquestionably has the heaviest hands in boxing. His placement and accuracy are very good and he can even somewhat set up his shots. Offensively, hes more than a force, hes a ****ing hurricane. But he sacrifices ALL defense in favor of his offense. He will never be a long reigning champ if he even becomes a champ at all because of that. The good thing for him is that he seemingly has a cast iron chin from what ive seen and those two massive rights Gibson landed -- featherfist or not, hes a big, thick, and pretty explosive athlete -- they would have KO'd almost every HW and CW on the planet. They landed perfectly flush, loaded up, perfectly times and they were hail Mary bombs. They didnt even catch this dudes attention. Thats ****ing shocking to say the least. Literally, he didnt even blink. And KO%'s can be misleading, some guys can pack massive power in certain shots and certain situations, but they rarely are ever in position to deliver them. I'm telling you, those two rights Gibson landed on whatever this guys stupid name is -- hey were legit certified 2,000 pound JDAM bombs. They were huge shots, explosive, uncorked, and perfectly timed and precisely ON POINT. WhateverMadov didnt even notice them. That has to put some scare into everyone and anyone at HW. This dude against Ajagba would be a certified crime scene with a 187 called into local police and the ring taped off with yellow police tape. One of them would be dead and decapitated and the other in cuffs facing manslaughter and murder in the 1st charges, and id bet most anything it would be whateverMadov leaving in cuffs and being charged and Ajagba's corpse leaving in a bodybag. Would not watch.

I didn't think there could be a contender slower than Joe Joyce. But, I stand corrected. Lots of fighters this big have heavy hands. But, Makhmudov is far too slow and clumsy to be the real deal. And, his defense is non existent. He has no head movement, and keeps his hands by his waist. A good fighter will pick him apart.

Avery Gibson had never been knocked out in 20 professional fights. Only once had he been sent to the carpet. Arslanbek Makhmudov only needed two minutes and 31 seconds to liquidate him.

The fights follow each other and are similar for the Russian, as monstrous as friendly, who has never worked beyond the second round in seven outings. His team believed that Gibson (9-8-4, 3 KOs) would give Makhmudov (7-0, 7 KOs) the opportunity to accumulate a few more rounds of experience in his wallet. .

Instead, the first final of Eye of the Tiger Management's ambitious dual program at the Casino de Montreal on Saturday, which also featured Simon Kean, came to an early conclusion.

"For the moment, it's not disturbing. We thought we had rounds [Saturday], that was not the case. We will continue our search and go gradually with guys who have good chins. Solid guys to finally see [more rounds] one day, "said Makhmudov coach Marc Ramsay.

The now traditional mermaid announcing the arrival of Makhmudov in the ring had just been quiet as the latter invited his rival to observe the floor closer, through a quick straight uppercut. Gibson got up only to fall back a few moments later, pounded on all sides by his opponent at the other end of the arena. Gibson's corner, wisely, then called for an end to the carnage.

Another brief day at the office for Makhmudov, then. His clan will never complain about accumulating victories, that goes without saying. But he still looks forward to a rival who will resist a little longer.

"The same thing was said about [Artur] Beterbiev and at one point we got picked up in 12 rounds. [...] We finally found a solution, "said Ramsay.

Obviously, the day will come when Makhmudov will meet a boxer on his way who will have found, we do not know how, the way to accept his abuse for more than two rounds. But on the other hand, difficult to complain about when we garner spectacular victories that allow us to increase our popularity.

While waiting to know the identity of his next victim - sorry, his next opponent - Makhmudov will continue the work in the gym. Because, yes, despite his terrifying journey so far, there are still aspects of his boxing to tweak.

"I'm not perfect. I have to learn. It's normal. [The fight] is a good experience, "he summarized with humility.

"I'm ready for everything. I'm ready for a tough opponent, "he added.

But will such an adversary, whoever he may be, be ready one day?

Ppretty bold considering his last opponent and maybe best opponent has been Avery ****ing Gibson. On dogs, Wilder lands a flush right on his chin like Gibson did, whateverMadov is getting carried out of the ring and you will never hear about him again. Unless you see his stretched out and unconcious body on a poster with Wilder straddling him giving him a double middle finger salute.

TBF you might be right. But Wilder has the far more proven chin, skills, power, talent, and career -- all against SIGNIFICANTLY better opposition than caucusus region guy. My money would confidently be on Wilder by brutal, career ending, and early KO.

Wilder's twig leg would snap if Makhmudov landed flush.

Wow I just did the same and not only did he look at me but he spoke to me as well for almost an hour! He had lots of ideas and suggestions. I told him killing was wrong though. Everyone knows that.

He's more heavy-handed than the message at the end of a sitcom.

There have been more than a few heavyweights over the years who hit as hard, if not even harder, as Lewis or Wlad. The difference is, as you said it yourself, punch placement, timing, speed etc.. We will see when he fights a competent, experienced heavyweight. And then see again when he fights a competent, experienced heavyweight who can hit back, hard.

I'd pay to see Ajagba-Makhmudov. Two huge, hard-punching HW prospects with below average defense.
