This is the biggest guy and supposedly the biggest puncher in the division as well... Total dominance, but also a fail.

I love me some Errol Spence, but i just can't get this outta my head!

A doughbody lightweight moves up and you can't even get a KD??? Here's the thing, any veteran world titlist that merely wants to survive for 12 rounds almost always can. It's very difficult to knockout a man who's only intention is to go 12 (unless it's prime GGG) and that's clearly where Garcia's head was at.

But...goddamn he should have been smeared on the canvas once or twice...

I also didn't quite like how much respect was shown to Garcia in those first 5 rounds. How gunshy is he gonna be with a viper like Crawford in there? God forbid Keith Thurman starts buzzin' those bombs past his head....

Spence could be harboring a glass jaw.

He didn't need a knockout so he didn't go looking for one. A win is a win.

Yep, same people who give GGG **** for failing to stop Jacobs are quiet about this little fact.

Mikey is a great boxer but does not have that style to beat a bigger boxer of the likes of Spence. That's why Fury is hard to beat. Like trying to box a big moving wall. Mikey has great defence but could not do both.

Is this leading where most of your other threads end up? A dominant win for a 40 year Pacquiao? I really hope not.

It was in his home town in a huge stadium. This was the one where he was supposed to show off to the world and he didn't do it. This isn't like Saunders vs Lemieux where Saunders backed off even though he could have got the KO. It's not like Mikey is a dangerous puncher at 147...

Going 12 rounds with a 140 pound fighter is not impressive. He had huge physical advantages that were always going to be a mountain to overcome for Mikey. At the end of the day, Spence won because Mikey was too small for the weight. Mikey is a normal sized 140, he had no business at 147. And that's regardless of whether he won or lost this fight. He should still have moved back down.

The matchup suited Spence heavily. Mikey is a boxer first rather than puncher but his style is similar in some ways to Loma's, it's a lot more about smart offense than it is about defense. Coming forward when you are the clearly smaller guy is always going to be difficult. Mikey didn't and couldn't adapt, that's why he lost so badly.

Spence NEEDED the knockout to send out a message that he is miles ahead of fighters like that. He had everything in his favour so he should have dominated and got the KO. It was there on a plate.

I have to admit although it was a dominant performance I was disappointed he didn't stop Garcia. Garcia is tough but surely he could have had him out of there in the late rounds? Garcia was showing signs of distress at a few points but Spence didn't turn up the screw.

Duran and Hearns both got knocked out. Who got a better chin—Mikey or Duran/Hearns?

    YDKSAB.
