Masvidal vs Woodley or masvidal vs usman next.
Both winnable fights, to me Woodley is an easy fight for Jorge especially that woodley knows wassup from sparring. He’s gonna be ultra gun shy against Jorge and he won’t take to many of those body shots without gassing.
I see a Woodley vs marquardt type finish coming.
Usman is beatable aswell. He’s probably stupid enough to try and stand with Jorge. Also there is pressure on usman after that boring fight with Woodley to be more exciting. That’s one of the reasons usman and management want the masvidal fight. Colby although chaotic is basic on the feet in comparison to masvidal. Open to be koed all night.

I have always been a Masvidal fan but no way should he get a title shot. Colby should be next. Yes Masdidal looked great on the weekend but he lost his previous 2 fights.

The person who has really been f#cked over at 170 is Stephen Thompson. The first fight with Woodley was a draw and he won the rematch 3-2 imo and most peoples opinion from what I have read. Thompson clearly beat Till as well. I realise he's not the champ but imo Stephen Thompson is the best welter in the world.

totally with you. i have also been a masvidal fan...…..but lets be real: the guy is a Gatekeeper. he cant beat he elite at 170. and dont overrate that till Victory. cause look at tills record…….and what do you see: only 2 relevant victories. and they came against strikers! and in a way you can go and throw out that Thompson Victory, cause a) it didnt come at welterweight and b) the result was very controversial. that leaves his win over Donald cerrone. but more importantly, what is missing? answer: top Level grapplers! no Usman, no covington, no dos anjos, no maia.
sum it all up and you have a fringe top ten contender. that shouldnt get masvidal a title shot, especially since his is only 1-2 in his last three.

and covington is a top contender. personally, i dont listen to trashtalk. so i dont give a **** if covington is an *******. that has no meaning to me. all i care About is Talent and accomplishments. covington easily trumps masvidal in both Areas. his fight with Usman is Pretty much a pick´em. masvidal would be a huge underdong vs Usman.

as for Thompson, i´m with you there as well. to me, he never lost to woodley or till. i just hope he whipes out pettis in spectacular Fashion so the ufc will back another run for him. he deserves it!

I thought Thompson beat Woodley twice and clearly took 4/5 from till. He applauded the till dec though. Wtf was that?
If masvidal is healthy he can beat anybody.
If they ever open up a 165, I garuntee nobody beats him at that weight. Not khabib, Mcgregor, or askren.

Just look at the diff in masvidal physique from the Thompson fight to the till fight. He looked good in the cerrone fight but even then he was a little bulky like he did to much upper body strength training. For Thomson he looked leaner but fleshy. Perfect fighters build vs till.

If Nate isn't on the outs with UFC and can get himself motivated to fight anyone not named Conor McGregor, Jorge Masvidal vs Nate Diaz over 5x5's at 165lbs would be a simply incredible fight, in my view: 25 minutes of blood-and-guts, bell-to-bell action. :sisi1

I had thought about that fight myself as I'm a big fan of both guys, I think Nick vs Masvidal would have been an even better fight but unfortunately I don't see him ever coming back .
Nate has never really stopped training so I can see coming back soon and at this point I'd be happy to see him against anybody,if Nate did eventually fight Masvidal the build up as well as the fight would be pretty epic

True. I think Nick is basically retired now.

Maybe we could get Tony vs Nate too, at 165 if Nate can't get down to 155 anymore. The press conferences would be pretty wild for that one too.

Masvidal stops Covington. I’ve seen them spar. Colby wants nothing to do with Jorge. You can’t square up with your chin in the air and try to mow him over. Chances are Jorge touches that chin.

Right now jorge is better then he’s ever been. More motivated, in better shape, eats healthy, is injury free. Do you really think either Diaz match up well with Jorge? Nick hasn’t fought in 100 years and Nate has nothing that would present a problem for Jorge. Those would be good fights if you wanted to see the Diaz bros beat into retirement.

tony vs Nate would be a better fight. They have a similar skill set that meshes well.

One sided blood and guts and 3 round one sided action. You were partially right
