I think he should have 2-3 more quick fights he can mix it with domestic level guys,Watkins Chamberlain or Camacho and these would make for interesting fights in small to mid size shows, a few quid to be made here without getting hurt and then Tommy should in my opinion pack it in.
Biggest weekend in Irish boxing history???? 2 Irish fighters boxing for world titles on the same bill, Conlan headlining in MSG, Boston card stacked with irish fighters, Great time to be Oirush

Barnes beaten and talking retirement! Also nikitin looked very very poor. He isn't cutting it s a pro at all.....the Conlon rematch looks like fading into irrelevant status. Bad news all round for Irish boxing....yikes! (Apart from Katie of course)
Barnes never looked the part as a pro TBH but at least the women are doing the business Katie of course and Amy Broadhurst winning a european crown the weekend,
It was a mismatch no question. Carroll is a brave man though with the heart of a lion. At the end of one of the rounds after he'd taken a right pummelling he broke into a big grin as he went to the corner. If he only had a bit of power in those punches he could maybe have done something, as it was Farmer was happy to stay in the pocket and take the occasional shot. It was a tough watch at some points.
It's amazing how a guy who is so physically strong like Jono can have so little power in his punches.
Farmer didn't play with Caroll, it was a tough fight for both boxers. Farmer won the fight but no way was it easy for him
Mismatch??? What fight were you watching. Go to the round by round coverage on this forum, some of them actually had Carroll winning the fight. The Sky commentators were shite, obviously you were swayed by this.
It's possible, I did watch the Sky coverage and they were talking up Farmer as they tend to do with the incumbent champ if they think they'll be covering more of his fights. As I remember though, Jono maybe scraped some rounds on volume and aggression. Most of his work was slipped or blocked. Carroll didn't seem to have the capacity to hurt Farmer whilst the reverse was clearly not so.The 110 card was probably harsh but I honestly don't see how you could have him winning the fight? Perhaps mismatch is a little harsh but I came away thinking as Puca said above, he was out of his league.
