He’s climbed through the ropes and boxes for a living. He’s served his ban and is trying to make something of himself through his career. That gets my respect.

Your logic seems a bit weird. He boxes for a living, boxing is inherently dangerous, therefore he deserves respect. He's also a drug cheat, and in a sport like boxing that doesn't just limit the chances of the other guy winning. It increases the chances of him being seriously injured. Anyone who does that is someone I just can't respect. It's like a guy who races at the TT tampering with his opponents brakes. No ban is going to stop him being reprehensible.
disagree here bud, IMO he deserves to be in the ring as he has served the time he was sentenced, however he was on the gear and if he hadn't been caught he would most likely still be. I think I would have more respect if he was honest and said he made a mistake, has learned from it and will deal with the consequences but just wants to get on with his life etc... rather than just blatantly disregard it, say he had nothing to be ashamed of, no remorse.
Galahad like BJS can be respected as a boxer but clearly is fundamentally flawed as a human being. I personally do not buy his nice guy image shown at the press conference and as soon as the cameras are off he will revert straight back to hood rat mode (which is quite embarrassing at his age). As others have said he appears to lack empathy which is a serious personality trait and IMO it would be wise to distance yourself from such characters unless like Dom your are emotionally and financially invested. Poor old @Twentyman is such a liberal he would welcome a thief into his house only to wake up and find all his valuables missing but still blame himself for not giving enough time. What a guy.
I disagree'd with @Twentyman on this but he is by a country mile one of the better posters on here. Im sure he would go full Dom Ingle on anyone breaking into his house !!
Ha, i definitely wouldn’t be doing the latter, mate. @delboy82 @TonyHayers I think there’s a number of fighters who are fundamentally flawed as human beings. I think we’re very inconsistent on the ones where we let it slide and the ones we beat with a stick for the rest of their careers. For example Tony, you’re a big fan of a fighter who has a criminal past...yet you can’t get your head around my lack of dislike for Galahad. Please don’t waste your time playing down the severity of that crime because I genuinely don’t hold it against him anyway...because I would then be being inconsistent as I admire the likes of Martin Murray. We turn a blind eye to things like that because we see that they’ve tried to improve themselves through boxing. The likes of Whyte, Fury, Roy Jones Junior etc have all been pulled up for peds yet we turn a blind eye. You don’t see a thread with Galahad without him being mentioned as a drugs cheat yet Whyte’s rarely gets mentioned. I don’t see Whyte admitting he was wrong or Canelo or Fury who is also hugely popular (i admire all 3). I’m willing to give Galahad another chance to redeem himself as a human being. I’m not saying I like him, I’m just saying I don’t dislike him.
to be fair I have seen Whyte say that he was an idiot for taking the pre workout stuff without checking it and its something he will never do again, it may not be an outright admission to taking gear, but an admission to being naive and daft and he has learned from his errors. There just seems to be no humility in regards to Galahad. It may be ignorance on his behalf from not being the brightest to be fair. I might be harsh but ignorance maybe a reason but not an excuse, he knows he did wrong so should be remorseful for that at least even if he doesnt quite understand the full ramifications of his actions. I will be honest enough to admit that his behavior outside the drugs thing means that I have a dislike to him and that may very well be another reason why I am vocal about him. The reason that I am less reluctant to welcome a convicted cheat is that PED's such as Winstrol dont just have a benefit for that camp or the next fight you can gain benefits for years from taking anabolics. So to me it doesnt matter if he is now clean he will still be getting some benefits from the cycles he has been on in the past.

Anyone trying to equate selling a bit of weed and taking PED's before fighting is clearly a fanboy. Sorry, but it's true. Not every indiscretion carries equal weight. Also, I don't give Fury a pass. Or anyone who's guilty of it. I have repeatedly wondered why a boring fighter like Fury who also happens to be a drug cheat picks up fans.
