Are people stupid? Do they just look at a screenshot of a video and then make an inference and decide to post something ridiculous? He clearly says its his base next to his gym in Sheffield. He has 2 training camps per year (12 weeks long each, I would imagine) and he stays here. So this is his second home for around 6 months of the year. He isn't going to go down the M1 and M25 motorway every night for 3 hours to sleep in his house in London and then do another 3 hour journey back in the morning to go to the gym to training.
He's giving people an insight into his life away from the glitz and glamour of fight night. How you view it probably depends on what opinions you already hold about him. Is he a genuinely down to earth guy who won't allow the trappings of his now massive fortune to either dull his edge or distract him from his task? Or is he a fake artificially constructed persona and all of this is some kind of sham concoted to build brand AJ? As I said, your answer will probably depend on your view of him. For me, I liked the video, I think his 'not broke don't fix it' approach is sensible and he made me laugh when he opened the window and said that he kept an eye on the street to make sure everything was in order.
That's the first time hes been in that flat, its all bollox, his eyes are looking around like he aint got a clue where anything is You can not get anymore fake than Joshua
I wrote a song a few year ago, do you know what I called it ? " Down by the River " !!!! Its a true story Bandeedo and one day im sure you'll get to listen to it
He needs to drop all this corporate bollocks once and for all and be himself. The public would love him more if he was even a little bit real. The man was driving an S class Benz as a 21 year old amateur boxer and pro drug dealer. That story is infinitely more interesting than this pish. If you're really a boring Mr Nice Guy then feel free to be that, but in a world where Mayweather and McGregor make 10 times what AJ does, WTF is the point in his whole act. The man is an OG at 29 but he wants to be Tiger feckin Woods FFS. It's weak AF.
Fact is he's 10 times more gangster than Mayweather could even dream of being. MF-er should talk about how he used to stomp people in the street over a debt but now he changed his life. Show some regret, talk about maturing and becoming a man. Talk about how he's a baller now but it's all legit and all from finding his talent and nurturing it with years of hard work. Show kids like he was that you don't have to be a piece of **** dealer but also don't have to be ashamed of your past to get respect.
i didnt appreciate farleys talent back then, as i do now. he was a master of physical comedy and totally committed to his characters. just look at his facial expressions as he goes through the whole bit in that video. back then i felt it was a bit campy, but i couldnt see the subtleties in his timing, like how he absorbs what applegate tells him she wants to do with her life, in the video. although hartmans story is no less tragic, he left a smaller void in the comedy talent pool.
