He was completely dead from boiling down to make weight for the weigh in and they were concerned it would badly affect his performance, so they made up some BS excuse can’t exactly recall what it was off hand.
Kelly looks class IMO but as has been said his lack of power will surely be his undoing as he steps up. Will be an enjoyable ride if they match him well along the way though
Why wouldn't I want him to succeed? He has skills and I'd love to see him go for. There just seems something about him that I'm not convinced about. Similar to when Campbell turned over, obviously a different fighter but there was just something about him that seemed off despite his skills.
I've similar reservations. I actually think Cordina will have a better career than Kelly, though not by an extreme margin
I think it will be by a big margin. I just can’t see Kelly hurting the top welters. Cordina can bang and he’s got the skills too. The division is a lot less stacked. You’ve got Crolla in #3 and Burns #15. I’d fancy Cordina against either one this year.
Campbell is a class act bro, had one off night and avenged it, gave Linares a really close fight, I fully expect him to win a world title at some stage.
When is that fight due to take place? It's clear they ducked DA so let's see what they was scared off.
Yeah I'm not saying Campbell is ****. Just saying there is something about him that he lacks to be a real top fighter.
Kelly is one of these fighters that has bundles of skill & looks the part,but ultimately falls into the time we'll tell category...it's still to early as yet to gauge where he'll be in a few year
