It certainly doesn't appeal to me in it's current state and I agree the content has been garbage but the platform certainly has potential. I'd imagine the long term plan will be to start producing their own shows similar to the Netflix model. Matchroom isn't the only promoter they are working with so it could open doors for smaller guys like Hennesey and his foreign equivalents further down the line. Perform group are also heavily invested in online betting software and i'd imagine some sort of integration of this further down the line. This will be of huge appeal to the Asian market and that is where I think they can gain traction in reaching total global subscribers targets.

I said on here when DAZN was first announced that people shouldn't expect it to stay $9.99 for it's life time. Just as you see with Netflix prices go up. Once DAZN start picking up more sports rights naturally subscription prices will go up.

This is why I laugh when people say DAZN could launch in the UK for £9.99 even with EPL rights. It's simply not possible!

Rather inevitable that the price would go up- so soon after launch seems strange however, did they not budget enough for the signings in the initial business plan?

What’s happened is that they have clearly not come anywhere near the target subscription numbers. When Hearn closed his deal with DAZN he probably ensured their bosses that he would deliver the likes of Wilder and Charlo which hasn’t happened and that expectation will have justified the initial $9.99 price.

I haven't kept up with this stuff, but ESPN getting into the subscription game heavy has probably messed up their plans a bit as well. I think ESPN is like Sky Sports (with Sky Sports News) in America.

    Click bait.

Current subscribers have the same rate. New subscribers get it cheaper for a year subscription.

To try and and say its doubled in price is disingenuous at best.

Also when a subscription service isn't hitting their subscription numbers they don't put the price up. That's not how it works.

Hang on. Just a few months ago you were claiming Oscar de la hoya was now the boss and he replacing Hearn. How's that working out for ya?

I doubt they were ever expecting to make a profit on $10, and I doubt that they will be making a profit this year or the next. They are throwing silly money around because their current goal is market share.

You don't answer a question with a question.

You are saying Oscar is the top boss. If that's true just give me one example to show that's the case. Outside Canelo fights how many shows has Oscar even ran on DAZN?
