That sounds fantastic, but the reality is clearly something very different. What are they, 8 months into the launch and already their having to increase prices/trying to lock people in to a year deal. I’m not saying the company is going to fold and the $99 offer makes sense for subscribers, I’m just saying that the sums for the boxing arm are clearly not adding up.

If DAZN was in the UK I'd buy it. It's cheaper than Skysports and has a better stable of boxers than BT & ESPN with Usyk, AJ, GGG, Canelo, Jacobs, Andrade, Bivol, Srisaket, Gassiev, C.Smith, Whyte, Miller, Hrgovic, C.Johnson, Buasti, Kelly, Farmer, Hooker, Madrimov and Taylor.

DAZN business plan is to create a Monopoly on the Boxing Market. Then increase the subscriptions over time. Just as PPV has increased.

Hearn knows he can make more cash in the UK without DAZN currently because he has it all working fine for him with a Sky link up with Matchroom and any fighter with more talent than Dave Allen now deemed a £20 a time PPV arena sell out fighter.
Of course, one other major benefit of the Sky/Matchroom agreement is the hype machine that comes with Sky. People actually buy into a Dave Allen and purchase tickets for a domestic fighter headlining a card at the O2. :(

No I was referring to the 100$ year-long subscription. Anyone who pays that is a ****ing idiot.

The problem isn't raising the price it's by how much. Look at Netflix, they have raised prices a couple of times but it's always been 10-20%. Which means the company is secure financially but needs to raise prices to continue to provide good content in line with inflation etc. DAZN came straight out and raised price by 100% which is insane.

Dave from Tesco telling me I don't understand how business works, ok mate...

You just made yourself look like an idiot by claiming the subscription is great value because you see a "shitload of boxing", before proceeding to mention to confirmed fights and a host of TBAs. You think it's great value to see GGG knock out a complete bum and then a card next week topped by Brandon Rios? Because that's what you're getting. Brandon Rios, Tevin Farmer and Tommy Coyle. Why do you keep mentioning AJ? If he does secure a fight with Wilder there is no guarantee that it will be on DAZN since Wilder turned them down. The likelihood is that Joshua will continue to fight poor opposition on DAZN.

Also as I've said repeatedly, names like Joshua are not pulling in subscribers for DAZN. 15,000 people signed up for the free trial to watch Joshua-Povetkin on DAZN. 15,000 is ****ing paltry. For a free fight. lmfao.

Can those of you playing this down and latching onto the $100 a year subscription not understand that after the year is done, they will be bumping the price up again? Are you really that short-sighted?

So to be a boxing fan you have to pay to watch dire fighters?

"Dire fighters". Bit harsh. You sound like a hater not a fan. It's $100 a year. Not a lot of money to someone that follows the sport and isn't an agenda driven snob. We all know you hate anything to do with Hearn, Matchroom and therefore DAZN. So don't watch it. That doesn't mean everyone else is a "****ing idiot"

Literally my favourite boxing moment was at a Hearn promoted Matchroom event so again you are talking out of your arse.

So why do you think "only ****ing idiots" would pay $100 a year? Are you just saying it for effect or do you have an actual point?

I explained it in my post earlier. Anyone who spends that money up front is essentially gambling on Hearn making good fights instead of Maurice Hooker v Tommy Coyle or Chris Algieri. Also, that $100 will increase to $150+ after May 2020. It's not hard to foresee that. There's zero chance of GGG-Canelo III or Wilder-Joshua happening in that time. How many truly great fights will DAZN put on in this next year apart from Canelo-Jacobs?

But yeah, go on, just chuck $100 at Hearn. I couldn't care less, it's not my dough.
