Ya like thays an actually feasible and realistic proposition. Hes just gonna hop on a plane and fly to the UK to tell some guy he looks like a teddy bear. Enough with th interwebs hard man tough guy oversell. Has whyte's brother ever boxed? Has he boxed competitively? If not, and Okolie actually grew some balls and rogered up to this dude, whyte's brother would have been sent planking on the floor in front of all those media personnel and on his friends camera. Looks to me like Whyte's brother is lucky AF Okolie isa stone cold beta.
Lol bro the point im making is the posters idea of menacing is laughable. I lived in the South Bronx during the 90s so menacing means a whole different thing and some big guy talking to another guy with a bunch of people and cameras around doesnt really qualify as "menacing" lol
No one scared. One guy being open and honest and another understanding where he was coming from. Lets keep it professional.
Fair enough - but on the road he is 6 foot 7 and 285 pounds plus. That presence alone is menacing... just being around a guy that big who has actually trained boxing in the gym.
Yeah of course, would okolie beat Dillian in a street fight too? please tell me more. Wait let me grab a chair.
So he has boxed or at least trained before? Ok, that changes things to a certain degree. He's 6'7 285 pounds? Ok, that's some seriously intimidating size, but as much **** as Okolie gets for his style, he's still a world class boxer that should have no problem planting one square on his chin, in a ring or on the street. But Jesus, a guy that size, if he has functional strength and ggets his hands on you, a lot of people would be in serious trouble, especially if they werent trained wrestlers or BJJ.
This isn't about Dillian and Okolie, its about his brother and Okolie. In a street fight, in a ring, sanctioned or underground, I can't think of a single scenario where I would give Okolie even the slightest of chances. Whyte is a legitimate bad MF'er and legit top 10 HW. And he has one of the best resumes in the division.
That was a time and place that redefined the term "tough" and would also harden a lot of naturally soft dudes. One of the best Scout Snipers from the US Marine Corps(when I was in) was from that same area. Awesome dude and a legit warrior to the end, he didnt even have to say anything, you just knew. Certain areas or neighborhoods in certain time periods produced A LOT of tough and BAD MF'ers. 90's South Bronx is certainly one of them.
Okolie would beat the **** out of Baby Ting! Okolie being the GB squad for years will be educated in the whole art of hitting and not being hit, whereas Baby Ting is 40 years old, tubby, and has never boxed or done anything. Being big means nothing if you can't fight, Dan Rafael, Eddie Hearn, Kugan Cassius are all big guys and softies who would be terrifed of flyweights. Dean Whyte will be nearer to those guys than he is Okolie Even if he can fight on the street, it's a whole different game coming up a person who's trained to fight.
Seen from a far different perspective than my own and a classy well said alternate to my own. Can definitely roll with this.
Thank you, brother, it almost brings a tear to my eye when I think of how far my people have come and the strides we've made in recent years.
