How does a slender heavy like Wilder compare to other heavyweights that have had freakish power?

How does Wilder punch as hard or harder than heavies that were heavier than him in the past?

Duck is the common name for a large number of species in the waterfowl family Anatidae which also includes swans and geese. Ducks are divided among several subfamilies in the family Anatidae; they do not represent a monophyletic group but a form taxon, since swans and geese are not considered ducks. Wikipedia

    Lifespan: Mallard: 5 – 10 years
    Clutch size: Mallard: 8 – 13
    Wingspan: Mallard: 81 – 98 cm
    Mass: Mallard: 0.72 – 1.6 kg, Canvasback: 1.2 kg, Marbled duck: 480 g
    Length: Mallard: 50 – 65 cm, Canvasback: 48 – 56 cm

I think in general the human skull and brain can only withstand so much force and when you get to about 200lbs or more the average heavyweight that size can produce enough power to KO almost any heavyweight no matter what they weigh. So doesn't matter if your 210lbs or 250lbs a 200lbs heavy with power can KO you.

Hence why smaller lighter heavies like Tyson, Haye, Shavers, etc can KO much heavier and larger men. Look what Haye did to the very durable Chisora or what he did to the giant Valuev that bigger men couldn't do.

Thanks for the overview..... since I have hunted ducks for years.....one you need to look into is the Black-bellied Whistling-Duck. May mate for life. Often nests in colonies. Nest site usually in tree cavity or broken-off stub, 4-20' above ground or water. Tree nests on land usually close to water, but can be up to 1/4 mile from it. Also frequently nests on ground, in dense low growth near water. Also, their close relative the Fulvous Whistling-Duck, lives in the same South Texas area.

I'd say his power was comparable to the great punchers of the past. My trainer, who was a long time sparring partner of both Quarry and Lyle said Wilder's raw punching power reminded him of Lyle's power when Wilder came through the gym back in 2012.

Fair enough but Haye and Tyson were more bulky than Wilder and a lot of Tyson`s opponents weren`t that much heavier than him.

Can anyone actually name a fighter over 250 who had massive power compared to smaller heavyweights? I don't feel weight is adding anything after you reach 210+

Great point, Wilder punches far harder than Carnera and Valuev did.

Wilder does have a bit of the chicken legs going on, but just his general style and the way he throws shots reminds me of Baer sometimes. Except Baer had a better hook and chin and didnt slap as much..
