I like how Joyce took a few big bombs from Stiverne flush and wasn’t fazed in the slightest. Still question marks over dubious Anyway it’s a talk from Warren as usual he won’t put dubious or Yarde in with a live body this year
The thing is if Dubois dared to be great and Frank trusts him. This fight would be the strait of him going on to be a PPV fighter. Biggest issue is that both of these guys have zero personality. Joshua got Hearn to hype him. Joyce has got Sam Jones and Dubois got Warren who still isn’t sure what social media even is. If Dubois got someone like Haye. He is close to PPV if he wins this fight. Particularly with Hayes history with Joyce .
This is a brilliant fight if they pull it off. Joyce is supernaturally slow but damn it the juggernaut label is deserved. I bet if you accidentally brush past him in a corridor you dislocate a major joint. Some people are born freakishly strong and he is one of them.
Love this fight. I favour Dubois, I think he's alot faster than Joyce, and would make him pay for his sloppy defence.
Dubois would beat Joyce imo. Regardless, Warren can't win. People moan when Yarde and Dubois aren't fighting bigger names, then moan when Warren says he wants to make them. What do you want? I suspect Warren sees a gap in the 'Saturday Night Fight Night' UK market and wants big fights on BT so they can overtake Sky/Matchroom.
Dubois-Joyce is a fight that sells out the O2 for me. Would be one of the biggest heavyweight fights on these shores in many years.
It should be noted Hughie 'The Skirt' Fury gave up the belt when contenders above Gary Cornish/Sam Sexton level appeared. Fighting man my arris
Wrong. Warren can win - he just needs to actually make the fight happen rather than talk about the fight happening. Because if there's one thing Frank has solid form for, it's talking about fights that don't quite seem to materialise the way he suggests they will. He spent a long time making sure everyone knew Ricky Hatton wanted Junior Witter, Witter wanted Hatton, 'we are trying to make that fight this year and I really think it's going to happen.' And we got Ben Tackie. Calzaghe was even worse. Literally every fight would have Frank mentioning that next time is the big one, the step up, the acid test, not another Pudwill or Salem, we're going after Hopkins or Johnson. And after a quiet month or two we got Evans Ashira or Will McIntyre. At the moment it's a positive sign that talk is happening, but don't be surprised by the scepticism. It was only a few months ago that Frank was aghast at the the thought of Dubois v Gorman.
