Good match up. Boxing wise Jeff was pretty rough around the edges at bantam but he was incredibly strong and full of stamina. My guess is that Harada learns about midway through that he isn't going to wear Jeff down or swarm over him and contends himself to box and win a close but convincing decision. If he does try to go toe to toe with Jeff though, I can see Fenech turning the screws on him late in the fight and possibly overwhelming him. Not sure he'd be able to ko Harada, but maybe eek out a points win. Harada has the ability to win the fight if he fights smart.
Fenech would break his hands on Haradas head before the middle rounds. For a change, Fenech would be swarmed by a tougher nut, with better close-up punching ability than any Bantam Fenech faced. Harada would have Fenechs measure in every aspect.. durability... punch.. ruggedness...cruedness....bullying....physical strength....stamina. Fenech would have to box clever, if he was to win. Harada KO 10.
I like Harada, but even if he adapts and goes to box that means he's got Jeff Fenech cutting off the ring on him! I think Harada needs to really mix his style up from start to finish to win this, and actually trade a lot more than may seem clever at first. Harada decision.
hard to predict. But given harada's relentless style and agility that could defo match fenech's, id pick him via decision.
Harada defeated the great Eder Jofre twice (!!!) for Pete's sake!!!1 He would swarm all over Fenech, either winning a lopsided decison or a stoppage in 12 or 13 wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. A rematch wouldn't be necessary.
He also got ko'ed by Jose Medel and received a boxing lesson from Lionel Rose. Let's not be one sided here. Fenech WOULD be formidable, win lose or draw.
Other than the Jofre fights, Harada was actually often slightly underwhelming at Bantam imo. Still great of course, but i do question his dedication by that point.he ended up eating himself out of a division he was small for in the first place.
