He may not be elite, but he for sure is 100% world class. And he had more than enough potential to be elite and then some. He was an incredibly serious athletic package with good skills. His chin obviously wasn't world class but his heart is HOF worthy.

It is, but when you watch the Quillin/Lemieux fights, you just can't sit there and not think GGG will drop him many times in a potential fight between the two of them and possibly stop him.

Like I said, it's not a sleight to him at all. He's just not ELITE like GGG is.

He is a very good fighter, just not at the summit of the division, and that's okay!

And he has just the type of speed and athleticism to give GGG fits, and always has. His problem in this fight is that he just can't step back from a war and stop trading instead of boxing. If he loses, that would be the reason why. But he has a LEGIT chance.

    Yeah probably 2-3.

I think in a fight like this, if Golovkin focuses on the body like Murata did, HNN's corner may pull him out due to sustained punishment.

I would actually have loved to see Pirog vs GGG years back, that's a fight that would have been quite interesting for me.

Awesome, really like this reply and can roll with it all the way. The scary thing is, if he ever fulfilled his potential and had even a slightly better chin, HNN very well could have been the monster MW of the era.

Thanks for the reply and respect towards HNN. Not many have earned it more than him.

I will say Quillen got VERY underrated after his loss to Jacobs. I think it was a fluke loss. Dont get me wrong, I think Jacobs would win most if not all the times they fought, but I think Quillen really tests him and brings the heat everytime -- if his heart is in it.

The concept of "ducking" someone is totally foreign to HNN. Hes a guy that would fight anyone, any place, any time -- for the **** of it.

Why didn't he fight Golovkin then? If I remember rightly he totally swerved him. I'll have to research it to confirm the details but I'm pretty sure he was the mandatory or interim title holder or something and he chose to go in another direction, as almost everyone was doing during that period of Golovkins prime.

Joshua, Mayweather, Canelo, Pacquiao etc. they all fighting twice a year, why Golovkin needs a warm up fight?

Nobody told him to don’t give a **** about boxing and training for half year. If you are getting paid like this and you don’t have to “work”, it’s your duty to train every day and stay in shape 365.

This guy is not even on the Lemieux/Murata level. If you are the “middleweight Mike Tyson” and this and that, why do you need comeback fights against C level opponents?

Definitely 100% one of the easiest guys in boxing to cheer for, with a heart like Gatti.

For your second point, I agree, I thought Quillin would win that fight for sure. I remember I actually pulled off to the side of some random street road to follow the RBR for that fight cuz I wasn't going to make it home to watch it so I was using my data to follow on bn24.

    Unfortunate :(.

Go recheck your history and facts then, because HNN's steering wheel dont turn so he don't swerve anybody. He'd get sick just at the thought of it. His vehicle? Gravedigger, the legendary monster truck that only goes head on.
