When you have undefeated fighters people tend to think its a tough healthy division. Even if someone doesnt know the circumstances behind a loss they see a loss on a record and have a different opinion

Not true about Mikey. Off the top of my head, he would beat Broner, Mayorga, Baldomir, Quintana, and possibly beat an endless line of others like Horn, Margarito, Berto, Page....

 

Biggest difference between the two is we're getting big middleweight fights. We're wasting what could be a great era at 147 because the fights aren't getting made.

I'm glad Spence is happy with the paydays he's getting from Al, because Al's done s heck of a job neutering his legacy by not forcing matchups with the rest of the stable.

He'll only put his B/C class welters in vs Spence, and Al gave Errol the Brook shot because Errol's the only guy in the stable he trusted to go to England and bring the title back. Then, they got bailed out by Mikey's delusions. Al's doing it because he figures it's more profitable to have an oligarchy at 147 than a monarchy, and Spence would end the rest of them. But it's sad his own guy would do Errol like that, and that Errol either doesn't see it or doesn't care.

Erroll knocked out the best Welterweight Champion Kell Brook in Sheffield in front of 30,000 in Sky PPV and Showtime and then just beat Mikey Garcia in front of over 47,000 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas on Fox PPV. I think Al is doing a grand job and has made Erroll a multimillionaire in big fights. Next he gets another big fight against Pacquiao or Shawn Porter to make more millions and is high on pound for pound rankings. Yes Erroll must be pissed of on the crap job Al Haymon is doing for him. Most fighters wish he was doing such a crap job for them.

 

No, relatively bleh era. There's some standouts for sure, but it's not awash with future ATG's. Spence, Crawford and Canelo are fantastic, and a prime Golovkin and Pacquiao were amazing, but the best are past their prime and those in their prime are likely to miss the boat due to political wrangling
