    Obviously with my being a Prestonian born and bred like Fitzy, I am going to back him.

    Scott is a very talented fighter although he was given a rough rude awakening v Adam Jones.

    I think that Fitzy is just that bit slicker than Fowler who seems to be, from what I seen so far of him, relying upon his brawling power.

    A decent match up all the same should it arise later this year.

    Thoughts people.

    Really good match up.

    I will go with Fowler, fancy him to maybe even get the stoppage.

    I'd hope to see Fitz win but not so sure on this one. I'd probably favour Fowler from what I've seen, but not seen all that much of either to be fair.

    On a side note, that was a load of tosh vs Norwich.

    I'm not sold on Fowler but even less sold on Fitzgerald. It's a solid fight though, Fowler by KO.

    Im not convinced with Fowler, even if he gets past Fitz he will get stopped at some point.

    Fowler is better than people credit him for. Because of his mouth people can’t stand him but he’s got a really good amateur background behind him (190-19), terrific work rate and heart and he can bang. He can go to world level.

    Fowler is really dislikeable. Tweeted some lie about being recognised in a Tesco (despite Tesco being shut on a Sunday at the time he tweeted).

    Sadly, I think he’ll win this. Would love to see him beaten - ignorant character and mouthy. A bit like Bellew in some ways.

    Think Fowler is ridiculously unlikeable and irritating (the way he goes on as if he invented training camps..) but he’s definitely a good fighter, similar to Froch in a lot of ways IMO. Anyone know what there fight was like in the amateurs? Fowler won but that’s all I’ve seen

    I think Fowler has definitely stepped into void left by Bellew. I really like the lad. There’s a very fine line between sheer self belief & arrogance. I think it’s the former though.

    He has too much for Fitzgerald who himself has got too wrapped up in the buildup and has lost the plot a bit.
