It would be a 8 man knockout tournament with the winner advancing to the next round
It won’t include any of the big 3 and would be like the best of the rest sort tournament.
    The 8 fighters would be
    1. Whyte
    2. Povetkin
    3. Ortiz
    4. Miller
    5. Parker
    6. Pulev
    7. Chisora
    8. Breazeale
    It would go
    1 vs 8
    2 vs 7
    3 vs 6
    4 vs 5
The 1st semi final match would then be the winner of 1 vs 8 and the winner of 4 vs 5 and the second semi final match would be 2 vs 7 and 3 vs 6 with the winners of the semi final matches squaring of in the final. How do you see each match playing out and who do you think comes on top? All matches are on neutral ground with fair judging and this tournament will be with the current versions of fighters going on recent fights.

Whyte vs breazeale - I would go Whyte late ko with him edging the scorecards going and then landing that big left hook to ko breazeale and win that fight - Whyte
Povetkin vs chisora - I have povetkin winning via a close decision with momentum swinging both ways but povetkins superior skill edging him the win against chisora - povetkin
Ortiz vs pulev - I would go with a Ortiz UD but it would be Close with pulev utilising the jab well but ultimately not having the tools to capitalise against a older Ortiz who’s past his best - Ortiz
Parker vs Miller - I have Parker winning this one via UD with Parker boxing well on the backfoot with Miller plodding forward and not being able to open Parker up and turn it into a rough fight - Parker
    The semis are
    Whyte vs Parker
    Povetkin vs Ortiz
Whyte vs Parker - even thought we’ve seen this already I’d see it going a Parker UD fin they fought again with Parker boxing well on the backfoot but also mixing it up and trying to rough Whyte up rather than Whyte being he aggressor. Parker in my eyes would survive some rough moments to win this one via UD - Parker
Povetkin vs ortiz - this ones a hard one to call honestly but I would go with povetkin to win this one via sd with both having their moments and the different would be I could see povetkin catching Ortiz with a big shot and dropping him to win this one just but honestly could see Ortiz doing the same tho - povetkin
The final is povetkin vs Parker - I have povetkin winning this one via UD as I feel that povetkin while he may be older has that top level experience and slight skill advantage, I could just see him timing Parker throughout and making Parker become frustrated especially at the start with Parker coming on strong towards the end to make life difficult for povetkin but ultimately I could see povetkins Start being the difference and winning him this fight. How does everyone else see this tournament going and would love if you agree with me or disagree with me having povetkin winning this.

if in germany pulev beats ortiz points higher workrate and jab and grab nullifies ortiz power and inside work

povetkin kos pulev with a left hook which pulev showed he is vunerable to with and its povetkins best weapon and he has the power to ko pulev

povetkin speed and combos allows him to get in and out before miller can rumble forward and miller simply does no0t counterpunch

yer rate miller very highly compared to me pal. He’s decent but not technically sound in my eyes. What makes yer pick him over the others?

    1 vs 8 Whyte Late TKO [1]
    2 vs 7 Povetkin late TKO [2]
    3 vs 6 Pulev Wide UD [3]
4 vs 5 Hard to pick, Parker MD (or just close fight) [4]

1 vs 4, Whyte UD (already done)
2 vs 3, Povetkin KO (Pulev's jab opens up for a right hook aka Povetkins bread and butter)

    Whyte vs Povetkin

Now I favour Whyte, Povetkin isn't as good as he was and no where near as athletic. If they trade hooks I like Whyte to beat him at any point in there career, but inside there strength is roughly even IMO, Jabs are also about even (slight edge to Povetkin), Body shots favour Whyte but another close match, and chin is about even.

Five years ago I'd say Povetkin but now, Whyte by KO after a clinch, Povetkin is eaten away by Jabs to the abdomen and hooks to the body and liver, then later on gets separated and then gets caught by a left hook, KOd from exhaustion more than Power, but KOed none the less

Well for starters his pressure style is all wrong for Parker. Joe won't be able to keep him off, the same thing applies for the Whyte fight. Just look at how much trouble Whyte had against Del Boy in the 33 rounds they spend together and you have a guy in Big Baby who: is bigger, younger, stronger, hits harder and has a better chin at this point. He would ragdoll both Whyte and Parker
For the Povetkin fight I think Miller would be too young and strong for Povetkin. :chuck:

I think once Parker adapted to whytes style he was able to do well and hurt Whyte at the end and miller had a lot of unanswered question marks about him still. Millers style is a thought one for Parker but miller hasn’t fought someone as good as Parker so don’t know how miller would cope against a world level operator at HW

Whyte vs Breazeale - Whyte on points, 8-4
Povetkin vs Chisora - Povetkin by KO, 4th round
Ortiz vs Pulev - Pulev on points, 7-5 (Pulev is best of a bad high-guard bunch, but Ortiz is a little too old and weak for my liking)
Miller vs Parker - Parker on points, 9-3

Whyte vs Parker (II) - Parker on points, 7-5 (Parker I feel can make better adjustments from the first fight since he's the 'boxer' of the two, but it could go either way)
Povetkin vs Pulev - Povetkin by TKO, 9th round

Povetkin vs Parker - Parker on points, 7-5 (Feel like Povetkin's stamina will cost him later in the fight and Parker would catch up)

Whyte vs Breazeale - Whyte Win by brutal KO from a left hook in the mid to late rounds in which Whyte wins every round of the fight.

Povetkin vs Chisora - Povetkin by KO, mid to late round.

Ortiz vs Pulev - Pulev on points and comfortably, feeding him the jab all night.

Miller vs Parker - Parker win by stoppage, in a entertaining fight where Miller is being to easy to hit for quick handed Parker.

    Semi finals

Parker vs Whyte - Parker by TKO late rounds. Although Whyte deservedly won their first fight,I thought Parker when he sorted himself out mentally and got his confidence back and got into a rhythm he showed is the better fighter and caused Whyte a lot of problems late on in their first fight.

Povetkin vs Pulev - Povetkin win by KO mid to late rounds.

    Final
Parker vs Parker - Povetkin win by late KO or on points.

Povetkin, is just the more complete and technically sound fighter than the other in this thread. Povetkin is an excellent combination puncher with the best left hook in the divison.

    1. Whyte vs Breazeale - Whyte in a gruelling slugfest in which his superior boxing skills see him outpoint Breazeale down the stretch.

    2. Povetkin vs Chisora - Povetkin would KO Chisora or brutally batter him to a wide points victory.

    3. Ortiz vs Pulev - Ortiz by KO or points. I still don't rate Pulev that highly after the Dinu fight, and I don't think Ortiz has trouble reading him and timing a big one through that sloppy one two that Pulev likes to throw.

    4. Miller vs Parker - tough one to predict. Parker has a tendency to let winnable fights slip away and I think he does so again here, letting Miller outwork him to a narrow but clear points win.

    5. Whyte vs Povetkin - I think Povetkin shows his age here and lets Whyte outpoint him in a fight with massive left hooks being landed by both.

    6. Ortiz vs Miller - Ortiz also shows his age and gets outworked by Miller.

    7. Whyte vs Miller - Miller outworks Whyte in another gruelling war to take it all.

First up - great idea. All these fights for the most part are exciting and difficult to predict. Would be a great tournament and would clear the division up somewhat. Good idea

    BRACKETS.

Whyte beats Breazeale, but with great difficulty. Close fight. WHYTE

Povetkin vs Chisora is a solid fight a year or two ago, now I think povetkin just has more left than chisora, and too many more tools generally. POVETKIN

Ortiz vs Pulev is another good fight. Pulev wins for me though. Won’t get drawn into slugging and wins on his jab and activity. Makes his movement work for him and wins wider on the cards than the fight would suggest. PULEV

Miller vs Parker. Parker the better fighter all around, but Miller grinds him down gradually and takes this one. MILLER.

    SEMIS.

Whyte vs Miller. Whyte survives a late fight fade due to millers pressure, but squeaks through on points. WHYTE.

Povetkin vs Pulev. Povetkin comes out on points in a dull and cagey fight. POVETKIN.

    FINALS.

Povetkin vs Whyte. Whyte comes to go to war with Povetkin and pays the price, with Povetkins class showing. Late KO for Povetkin.

    WINNER - POVETKIN
