Imo its his speed, you see his punches coming now, if he still had the speed we be looking at more damage on his shots
I see munguia fighting a bunch of club fighters the rest of 2019 and maybe stepping up the comp slightly in 2020. Maybe fighting a b rate fighter toward the end of 2020
I think it would be a good fight. I'm not gonna make any bold predictions about it but I applaud the kid for trying to get at the G man. Munguia's got fighting spirit and maybe he can't beat G but I'd like to see him try.
Munguia is a brutal KO waiting to happen 100% if he continues like that. He shouldn't share the ring with a guy like Golovkin right now and in the near future if he doesn't improve his defensive skills (basically he has no defense). He would get seriously hurt in that fight. If the thread op is so high on that kid (i think he's a good prospect with good skills but lacking fundamentals) he should - at least - try to type the name correctly (MungUia).
That could happen but it would be a Pier Six Brawl ! Two men who dont take a backwards step, slugging it out at center ring. Who would drop first, yeah it might be Munguia but could Jamie become the first man to drop the G man?
Cool! Another scenario where if Golovkin fights the guy "Whhaaaaa.... Golovkin is picking on smaller fighters!111" and if he doesnt fight him "Golovkin is scared of the young undefeated mexican in his prime! Keep running lil G!!11" lol... nothing new here.
Good catch, I had a typo spelling his name, that's what I get for going by the name typed by the TC. I fixed it. Spelling errors on last names are just unacceptable and should be corrected !
That's what I get for owning up to a typo, now I'm the Chicano man? I'm my own man Kiwi Man. I recall that one time you got confused with that other poster with kiwi in his name, somebody thought you were somebody else, you didn't like it too much did you. Now you're doin the same thing. No I was just on a roll and forgot the U. I've spelt Munguia right in the past so it's no biggie. When you on a roll like I've been on things happen.
Ah sorry, @f1ght3rz was clearly talking about the thread starter ("thread op"), and your reply surprised me especially as I didn't see any typos in your posts on this thread.
This. He didn't just look raw, he looked very, very basic. He has a hell of an engine, but not a lot else. A 3 litre injection engine in a Vauxhall Nova may win a few races at the traffic lights, but it's not going to cut it on a race track,.
Exactly this. It's pathetic the way some folks go on. I don't doubt that Munguia is going places and will be somebody. But he's too green for the top guys (especially at MW) right now. I guess if GGG wanted a legacy fight he could pull a Mayweather, beat the snot out of green Munguia like PBF beat Canelo and then claim 10 years later than he beat a legend. I'd probably still watch the fight despite my skepticism though
