I can never think of a signature GG KO. I just envision Rubio KO, David Lemieux was a premature stoppage. GGG doesn't really have a signature win.. At least Matthysse Obliterated Prime Peterson & Boxed Provodnikov's ears off in a spectacular fight. This fights stick with you, these were amazing fights, Top Tier. GGG stopping Rosado, Proska others just don't do it for me... In the history books I gotta go with Matthysse. One of the last boxers who leave it all on the line. I'm Bout to go rewatch Matthysse-Molina. Matthysse would've KO'd a rudimentary Curtis Stevens. What am I missing here?? I serious think Matthysse>GGG. I guess we'll see how GGG finishes his career?? How do you view this?
What is the question? Who is better? Obviously Golovkin. Signature win? Jacobs, Canelo 2x Signature KO? Almost killing Matthew Macklin
man, why u try to take away 3G's only top win? he beat top contender jacobs just are sure as Hagler stopped elite minter mugabi, vito, hearns
Talking bout ko’s ok but let’s reverse it do you ever remember Golovkin putting in as Pathetic performance as Lucas did and quitting like he did as 40 year old pac? Nope is the answer your looking for
"Canelo 2x" lmfao Yeah OK, sure buddy, like that happened . G got lit up by the Can man. Pulverized. G's face looked like it went through a meat grinder after the rematch. G was so beat up he didn't even stay for the interview, walked back to the locker room like a defeated man.
Haha this is rich, coming from the guy who pretends that the only thing that counts in the Canelo vs GGG fights is the official cards:
was going to make a post saying the exact same thing lol... but said **** it. Cracks me up seeing the oozing bias of people who try to counter a post that says most people thought Golovkin beat Canelo by saying only 'official' records matter, and then adds a * next to the Jacobs win due to some people thinking Jacobs deserved a draw lol.
And actually very few people had a draw, it was a 1-knockdown fight so unless one scored an even round it has to be one point either way ....
It's not that only the official records matter. It's also what happened in the bout. A judges decision isn't the be all end all, but it's a starting point for which debate occurs. You can't just matter a factly claim that somebody's signature win is a fight he lost. That's the epitome of delusion. So to completely ignore the official judges, or to act like the judging was some kind of conspiracy, that's no better. Just the fact that Canelo beat GGG at his own game in the rematch, by beat him I don't just mean the final score, I mean he beat him up, he landed the harder blows, clearly, he landed more body punches, he did what many said Canelo needed to do to win. (which was ridiculous to begin with but that was the argument coming from G fans following the first bout) In the rematch, Canelo forced G to retreat all fight and rely on the jab almost exclusively. And the jab didn't really bother Canelo too much now did it. Didn't stop him from coming forward, didn't stop him for landing the more telling blows. G didn't control Canelo with the jab in any way. G fans set themselves up for this outcome with how they complained about Canelo's lack of aggression in the first fight, which was the basis for G fans claim that G deserved to win the first fight. And that was lazy to begin with, while I gave G fans a chance to debate the rounds in the first fight, most wanted nothing to do with that. Most just said that G was coming forward Canelo was moving backwards, therefore G won, and that was that. So when they tables were turned in the rematch, GGG's fanbase had no argument, because they already used that to argue G won the first fight. Not only that but G didn't even stay for the post fight interview, a classless move. I would have had a lot more respect for G had he stayed and congratulated Canelo on the win. Him exiting the ring was not only classless but it's a tell tale sign of a beaten fighter. Now if you've paid attention to my comments on both fights, you'd know that I was more impressed with what Canelo did in the first fight than what he did in the rematch, because I appreciate boxing skills counter punching, body punching and don't just score fights based on who's coming forward. I personally thought the rematch was slightly closer than the first fight which I thought Canelo won more clearly. But however you see both fights, you should be consistent. if you thought G won the first fight because Canelo wasn't aggressive enougn, because he was moving away too much, if you gave G all those middle rounds, then you gotta be consistent. Canelo did that to a much greater effect in the rematch. G doesn't have the kind of footwork or upper body movement, or counter punching skills that Canelo has, Canelo proved he could stay in the pocket all night and out slug the man. You don't need the judges cards to see that.
I had it a close G win, mainly due to the knockdown and due to how badly Jacobs gassed in the final round. Jacobs seemed to use up all his energy trying to win the 11th round and had nothing left in the 12th. He came close but didn't quite do enough to beat GGG imho.
