That doesn't make him a great P4P fighter. In fact, neither are good P4P fighters all time, though for Lewis it can't be helped, as he's a heavyweight.
My main critiques:- Ted Kid Lewis, Lennox Lewis, Maxie Rosenbloom, Harry Wills are jumping out as way too high right away and having Oscar De La Hoya, Joey Maxim, Oakland Billy Smith, Wladimir Klitschko, San McVey at all doesn’t seem right. Eder Jofre, Billy Conn and Jimmy Wilde all look too low for me with Jofre and Conn being far too low. No Carlos Ortiz is troubling me also. No Puerto Rican fighter at all in the 75? You’ve gotta have Wilfredo Gomez in there somewhere too. It is difficult to do these lists I’ll say that. Everyone will criticize them.
I'm not as big on Duran as I am Leonard, here's why Duran proved he was elite at Welterweight by beating Leonard Then Leonard bested him in the most embarrassing way (making him quit) Duran jumped to weights and beat Leonard, Leonard did the same with Hagler He has another win over Duran when both were far removed from there prime Leonard also beat Hearns But there's a case for one being over the other but that's my two cents I'm looking at fitting Gomez, Chang, Griffo and C. Ortiz in there
But also consider: Leonard’s win over Hagler is iffy at best, Durán won at Leonard’s best weight and in his prime, Duran is the only one between the pair to have a long, dominant reign as champion.
I'd put Holyfiled way above Canelo as it stands now. But in fairness he was past it when he fought Lewis.
That's a good point, hence why they can switched but I thought Leonard won by at least two points against Hagler, and Duran wasnt always retiring and stuff, but yeah I agree that Duran was a beast.
I personally felt Leonard stole enough rounds and Hagler gave enough away to make it very close but I’ve never been able to convince myself Leonard did enough to win the fight. I’ve always scored Hagler out in front.
