Golovkin 2 out of his last 3 opponents are: Vanes & Brandon Adams, Is that ok for a P4P boxer?

Not really. The IBF was fine with the fight, as long as Golovkin agreed to fight Derevyanchenko next.
The Derevyanchenko mandatory came out of the blue anyhow. Lou Dibella made a big deal about it after Canelo got popped. Sergiy was a nobody before Lou opened his big mouth.

The whole thing was a ****ing mess. After Canelo got popped, the idea was to wait til September to have the rematch. Then the IBF forced their mandatory on short notice. And let's face it, it's a dumb move to fight someone like Sergiy on a short notice(even if you already were in camp), especially when the most important fight of your career is on the table.

Either Golovkin would have had to face Sergiy on short notice, or face him instead of Canelo in September. Imo it was a no brainer and anyone who uses it to discredit Golovkin is making themselves look dumb by doing so.

Wong. Loefler paid 20k to buy more time after they threatened to strip him. Golovkin didn't agree before or after and knew he was losing his belt if he fought Vanes yet he went trough with it anyway.
GGG happily relinquished his belt so he wouldn't have to fight SD

Wrong. He fought Vanes and tried to fight Spike didn't he? So he said im good enough to fight this guy but not that guy.

4-5 weeks was plenty time for him to arrange a fight with SD , plus he was under no obligation to fight on may 5th so had more time to prepare if he wanted it.

He bottled it , pure and simple and to deny it makes you look bad since you have to peddle lies to defend what he did.

What lies am I saying? And no, I am not defending anyone. I am by no means a Golovkin fan.

Yes, Golovkin was not obligated to fight on May 5th, yet he wanted to because he had prepared for it.
The fact is that the Canelo rematch was on the table, so there was no need to risk it vs Sergiy.

What's so wrong with that? Golovkin's two previous fights were Jacobs and Alvarez. What's so wrong with taking one off? Stay busy until the most important fight of his career.

GGG happily gave it up because of Alvarez.
Are we really mocking Golovkin for choosing Alvarez over Sergiy?

That's like giving **** to Bradley for ducking Khan and fighting Pacquiao(Bradley took a tuneup prior to Manny).

He could have fought both like a real bad ass.

Jacobs fought the Sergiy Derevyenchenko Golovkin DUCKED despite his possible Canelo fight.
Canelo fought Trout knowing that a Mayweather mega-fight was likely 5 months away.
