Why not compare him? Because Marquez tried so hard against Mayweather?

 

People are too hard on Mikey. He tried. He tried to get under the punches and throw the right and make it a fight, but Spence was too good and Mikey couldn't do anything. You want him to be knocked cold? Then people would say he was really destroyed and will never be back at the elite level. Let us see how he fights the next few years. Everyone loses.

Fans knew this before hand but thought Mikey must have some kind of plan, or was gonna go all out and try and stop Spence, not have a look then fight not to get knocked out. Its just a stupid fight to be made, they are both very good fighters, Mikey was just looking for the cheque as much as anything

 

Yes he tried harder JMM did, and they were both skilled counter punchers(him and Floyd) which pretty much guaranteed the fight would be horrible

 

JMM was a far better fighter than Garcia is.

Mikey relies on counter punches, he can`t set his punches up properly.

 

Most of Floyd`s opponents ended up doing the same thing and JMM`s arms were too short.

Mikey wanted to show boxing fans that he has a heart to jump 2 weight classes to fight Spence but his fight did not impress anyone.

Oh I definitely agree with you when you say he's no Morales or Marquez. Morales would NEVER have gone out like that. Can you imagine Barrera or Marquez even THINKING of boxing like that because I can't. I'm not as familiar with Barrera as I am Morales but I just can't see it. That being said I don't give Mikey too much **** for that bout because he was overmatched to begin with and Spence didn't fight the way he expected. There wasn't really a whole lot he could do but he also didn't attempt to do a lot so I understand the frustration from his fans.

Who do you think this generation's Mexican warriors? I'm looking at David Benavidez and Jamie Munguia. Them boys SCRAPPY. I like them haha. Let Munguia get a few more fights and he's going to give any Charlo a real war. Benavidez is the best guy at 168 and I don't care what anyone says.
