In all seriousness, Duva and definately not Tunde are not the people we need to be hearing from to understand whether this is going to happen. OGs Arum and Warren are the ones who will get the deal done or not and both haven’t really said much in the last week which to me is a good thing. I think there is still a good chance that we hear a deal gets done before bids are needed. Let’s not forget, Warren actually sent Tunde and Yarde over to watch Kovalev for both Alvarez fights and Tunde said himself, that frank thinks they can take him out, so it’s not like frank doesn’t fancy the fight.
Fight must happen in Hungary or at York Hall with 90-10 split in Yarde's favor. Tell Team Kov to stop ducking.
Frank/BT pay the bills though and as far as I am aware Yarde has a long term contract in place. We obviously don’t know how their deal is written up, but I would be surprised if Frank hasn’t built in some leverage in some form.
That’s the key thing. People love to defend Warren to the hilt, thus will defend Yarde and his actions. This is nothing to do with Frank Warren, I’m absolving him of any blame, he’s done brilliant to get him to mandatory with the WBO. But Yarde is a disgrace as is Tunde.
How many trainers who have achieved f all in terms of their career as a trainer or otherwise, talk about themselves in the third person?
Defending them from what exactly ?- nothing has been finalised yet, I like him as a trainer, but Tunde is abit of a plum and a PR disaster. That’s why people should just disregard what he says and just wait until the announcement next week.
Lol... it's actually Sweede Sven Fornling who's career has followed a similar bum carsel thus far. Actually looks like a competitive fight although Fornling holds the better win over Karo Murat.
I like the style of boxing he teaches, I also think they have a cool vibe around their camp. Of course, I’ve got no idea what Tunde brings to the table tactically or what his instructions in the corner are going to like in the heat of tough battle - that remains to be seen.
How come only 3 of Kovalevs 37 fights have been on Russia if there is big money for him over there? I'm not saying the offer is fake but probably a negotiation tactic, if they win the fight is in Russia, if they lose they get paid better than normally
