I think Haymon may be setting Breazeale up to take a dive against Wilder in round 1 or 2 to make it look a better victory for Wilder than AJ who took 7 rounds against Breazeale. They need to get Wilder's stock up again after the controversial draw with Fury
He's no Scott. Not Wilder's friend and no gambling debts as I'm aware of. Breazeale doesn't seem to like Wilder all that much, so I think he'll go for it. Also, because Wilder didn't take the huge Dazzun payday, Breazeale is also left with a fraction of what he would have gotten for the exact same fight. Can't imagine he takes that sh*t lightly.
Throw away the tens of millions he could earn by upsetting Wilder for a tiny fraction of that by agreeing to a loss? Of course, because logic.
Nope , if anything could be other way around . But I seriously doubt anyone be diving atm . To Wilder's camp , Breazeale is as safe fight among top 10 HW that Wilder can get . A controversial draw against Fury , a shaky victory against Oritz (overrated) has not gotten fans , Americans , Brits or anyone else really confident in Wilder or his stock . I do reckon this is again another trap fight and Wilder's team are seriously underestimating Breazeale , imagine if Breazeale gets a draw or wins a SD over Wilder . The omens do not favour Wilder and he is there for the taking . If Breazeale can land his own and bully Wilder around the ring I think Breazeale can pull it off .
Breazeale doesn't like Wilder, I see no way that he'd take a dive. They legit don't like each other. I don't like Breazeale (or Wilder), and I don't even think he should be getting a title shot but I'd love to see him knock Wilder out personally. Wilder is just ridiculous too me. That being said, I think Wilders gonna sleep him viciously.
He could give the best effort of his life and would still lose to Wilder. I say that, but also think Wilder is easily the weakest of the big 3.
He Will show up and give everything he has but with a defense centered around eating punches I see a short night. He does have enough pop to make it interesting while he is still standing though.
I’ve been saying for well over a year now that Breazeale will beat Wilder when they meet. He has enough boxing skill to dictate the fight, remembering Washington was outboxing Wilder He has enough firepower to buzz Wilders consciousness or even KO him, don’t forget Deontay glass jaw He has enough punch resistance to to take Wilders shots, he’s shown that he can rise off the canvass & get back in a fight He has the size He has the motivation, think about that Wilder enterage ambush when Breazeale had his family with him. Wilder may well have grossly underestimated Breazeale
I think he has a decent chance and I hope you are right - purely for the comedy value. Imagine Wilder loses , comes chasing AJ for a fight only to be told to work his way to mandatory
