Chunks of hair falling out is good enough evidence to say for certain Tyson took steroids, just look on the Holyfield thread.

except he had his original team around him and looked a fair piece better than he did in 1990. just look at the difference in foot movement and ring generalship, its there in the footage to see. Tyson also got clipped by Tucker in round one and was not deterred one tiny bit, different mentality. I think Tyson beats 87 Douglas because the circumstances were not in place. Tyson was still determined, whilst Buster had his under achiever mentality. 1990 Douglas would have a fair shake against any Tyson though.

Well, I think the point of the thread is to imagine the best Douglas, certainly a better Douglas, a Douglas that beats Tucker at least !

Tucker land lots of punches on Tyson in 1987,but not with much authority. I think Tyson was tagged quite a lot in that fight.
.... also, I think it is fair to say Tyson was determined against Douglas in 1990 too, hence how he took such a beating and tried to get up and put his mouthpiece in when he was counted out.

There's no evidence his hair fell out due to stress either. I'm not offering an expert medical opinion, I'm not qualified to do so.
I'm just making an observation : His hair fell out. The media had a story about stress.
It could have been something else. Steroids, Chernobyl .... who knows

No, it would NOT have been the same result. Buster would have some success but he would not have won

Yeah, Tyson did take Tucker a bit lightly and it showed in his performance. But Tyson had his original team in his corner and I'm pretty sure that team wouldn't forget an enswell. These aren't excuses either, hater.

Tyson wouldn't lose to Douglas in 1987 or any other year for that matter.

Tyson could have had a full ER team beside him and Douglas was still knocking him out. You Tyson worshippers need to get a grip ffs.

I agree completely. It's rather common sense, really. But haters like Unforgiven have such disdain for certain fighters that they can't accept anything positive being said about those fighters.

Only part I disagree with is the Tokyo Douglas beating Tyson at his best, although you did say a fair shake. Certainly Carl "The Truth" Williams was better than Douglas and guys like Tony Tubbs too. But Douglas was a big dude. Talented big men who could box and move were tough for a prime Iron Mike, not slow clubbers like George Foreman. You have to have a certain skill and quality to get the job done. Riddick Bowe might be the best answer for that, if he decided not to brawl. Now that dude had the right amount of height, reach, power and offensive capabilities to unseat Mike at his best. He'd have to fight the perfect fight...not sure if Bowe could though.
