Why is Deontay Wilder not embraced in America like Ali or Tyson was?

Fought bums for so long, still tries to find the softest opposition available to protect that fragile chin. People know a FRAUD when they see one.

He's fought two of the top five RING heavyweights in his last two fights.

They've been on the floor a combined five times against him. He's been on the floor ZERO times against them.

Yeah, what a terrible chin. (sarcasm)

You guys are repeating posts you made five years ago.

    You need to catch up.

It's 2019. Today, Deontay Wilder is the Most Famous Boxer in the World and one of the most successful WBC heavyweight champions in history.

    Wake up!

Ortiz might be top 5, but that only shows how terrible the heavyweight division is if a 40 year old grandpa can be rated that high. As for Fury, Wilder never beat him. In fact he needed a gift draw against an inactive Fury who lost a **** ton of weight and used a lot of drugs prior to the bout yet Fury still gave him a boxing lesson. Face the facts nuthugger: Wilder has NEVER beaten a quality opponent.

So youre asking why hes not as popular as this sports two most popular fighters, ever, at times when boxing was closer to Americas hearts?

    ...

As for why hes simply not more popular...
Mismanagement outside the ring and lack of big fights in it.

Hes slowly becoming a name however.

If someone pays attention to the public eye you can tell his notoriety has jumped quite a bit since the Fury fight was signed.

Yeah. Wilder, Joshua, Fury, Ortiz, Whyte. What a terrible top five. (sarcasm)

Not a Karl Mildenburger or Ernie Terrell or Manuel Ramos or Francesco Damiani in the bunch. (again, sarcasm)

Only Fury has real skills out of those that are prime (Ortiz is not). Joshua is a basic boxer with size, strength and punching power. Wilder is a gifted athlete with poor boxing skills. Whyte is a nobody.

So yes, that is indeed a pretty terrible division.
