Love them both but to me Benitez is a way better fighter.

Benitez wins this. But, Bradley makes it an ugly fight (as always), and keeps the cards much closer than they should be.

If Benitez is on his A game, this won't be close, no matter what Timmy tries to do.

Benitez would probably win, but Bradley is being way undersold here. He would be a tough fight for anyone at 140.

Edit: Screw it. I pick Bradley for the upset.

I actually opened this thread because the opposite is true. Tim Bradley gets severely overrated.

I don't see how he beats Benitez.

Bull****. He’s underrated due to having an ugly style and limited power. He was a highly regarded am and unified 140 practically without dropping a round. He was faded by the time he fought Provodnikov. He’d get in Benetiz’s face and trouble the teenager.

Who was that guy Wilfred had a draw and SD with again?

The 140 pound Benitez I saw in MSG in the 70s was special. He toyed with Randy Shields then took him out in 6. When he was on he was great at 140-144.
Btw Bruce Curry of the 70s knocks TIM OUT! A terrific fighter then.

Benitez took the junior welter title from a man who was a level above Bradley. Cervantes would have stopped Bradley IMO.

Lemme know who Bradley beat who was in the same Universe as Will.. I'll wait.

    Lamont Peterson? Devon Alexander? LOL.

The "Tim Bradley gives anybody" a tough fight narrative is untrue.

The TRUTH is, the biggest "win" of Tim's career wasn't even a win.

The man never really posed an especially tough fight for a faded Pacquiao. Manny beat him clear as day each time.

PLENTY of the greats would dominate Bradley. That's why I say he's overrated.

    Consistency vs. inconsistency.

And I’m sure Bradley would beat the robotic Cervantes.

Are you insane? At 1 point around 74, 75 in a poll in the Ring mag Cervantes was voted the best fighter in the world. A world btw which contained prime Duran Monzon Galindez Arguello Canto Zarate DeJesus Escalera. Then Ali Foreman Conteh Napoles .
Cervantes eats the shrimp for lunch inside 7.
