    Credit where its due. Fury and Wilder are an embarrassment and ironically the biggest loudmouths in HW boxing.

    its insane that Usyk is going in against one of Josh's best opponents. as his first opponent.

    obv CW is HW but still.

    Takam was causing the #1 ranked AJ problems when the ref controversially decided to wave the fight off right at a time when Takam was coming on and AJ seemed to be fading and running out of gas. And AJ had almost 20lbs on Takam in that fight.

    And Takam was beating the **** out of Chisora prior to the later pulling it out of the fire with that come from behind KO which is unquestionably the punch of his career. Most observers had Takam either shutting Chisora out prior to the finish or at worst only losing a round to him and I had Chisora beating Whyte in their first fight and ahead on the scorecards in the rematch prior to the finish (as did 2 of the judges) and this is despite Chisora having to contend with fighting 2 opponents in the ring and the ref deducting 2 points from him.

    And IIRC Takam was even on the judge's cards after 8 rounds against Povetkin and he gave Parker everything he could handle and pushed him close.

    For a debut at HW this is a good opponent, although Takam is on the downward curve of his career. I'm calling a late stoppage for Uysk in a fight he dominates after a cautious first 2-3 rounds...

    Totally agree. He was looking to land something telling Takam, like he sussed what everyone could see, Joshua fading

    Think you guys are looking at things with rose tinted glasses. Takam was nearly done, he wouldn't have seen the final bell and had resorted to small raids and trying not to get stopped. A far cry from his regular fight plan.

    I need to watch it again because I recall thinking at the time that there had definitely been a momentum shift and Takam was really coming on and AJ looked like he was gassing and that the next couple of rounds would be really interesting.

    Usyk will box his ears off and wear him down en route to a TKO in late rounds. Damn good first HW fight.

    I love how he integrates swimming into his workouts but that makes so much sense. He needs that cardio without the wear and tear. This man is a fooking legend.
