Right and Corrie Sanders never beat anybody else in his career besides Wlad. This story of Corrie Sanders being known for being dangerous is just something Wladimir Klitschko fans use to justify Wlad losing to him. Nobody thought Corrie Sanders was anything special because he wasn't.

David Haye is a cruiserweight who was afraid to be hit. Wlad has a glass chin and for the most part never tried to Blitz anybody. The excuses you Wlad fanboys try to use. Bowe wasn't a big puncher? Well tell that to Holyfield. He manage to stop him when guys like Lennox Lewis couldn't hurt a more beat up version of Holyfield. Bowe struggled with Larry Donald? He won pretty much every round. Larry Donald just ran to avoid being hit. Riddick Bowe was way past his physical people when he fought Andrew Golota. It also crack me up when people like you try to use that as justification that Bowe wasn't that good.

The point is Wlad couldn't take a punch period. This isn't up to debate. Wlad also had poor stamina. This isn't up to debate. Wlad also couldn't handle when a fighter punch tons of pressure on him and this isn't up to debate. There would be nothing Wlad could do that would keep Bowe off him. So my point still stands. Bowe at his physical peak would smash Wlad at his peak in 2 rounds or less.

Riddick Bowe needed 7 rounds to get rid of Pierre Coetzer and he was hitting him with low blows, should have been DQ'd if anything, went 8 with Biggs, went to points over 10 with Tony Tubbs, beat Larry Donald in 12 on points, beat Hide in 6 and even big useless overated Gonzalez who was overated for being a decent amateur at one time and beat no one of worth in the pro game went 6 with Riddick.

Riddick wasn't really a huge puncher at top level unless he was up against the likes of used up Dokes or Seldon.

Prime Wlad beats Prime Riddick in two out of three matches imo. Wlad a disciplined boxer in a real career > Bowe, an undisciplined one.

Lol again you casual boxing fan Bowe was past his physical prime when he fought Golota. Larry Donald had a better chin than Wlad and ran which is why didn't get smashed in 2. Herbie Hide also ran from Bowe. But you know who did get smashed in 2 rounds? Wlad by Corrie Sanders. You know how many times Bowe was knocked out? 0 times in his career.

You know how many rounds Wlad took to stop Bryant Jennings? Wait he didn't stop Jennings. But Luis Ortiz stopped him in 7. Wlad couldn't stop Mariusz Wach but 3 other fighters did. Wlad couldn't stop David Haye but Tony Bellew did it 2 times. So I guess Bellew punches harder than Wlad right? You casual boxing fans who bring up points when it benefits their beliefs.

Bowe in his prime still smashes Wladimir in 2 rounds or less.

Wlad stopped beating up broken down Hasim Rahman in 7 rounds. Took 8 rounds to stop Frans Botha even though Tyson and Lewis did it much easier. Couldn't stop Sam Peter in their first fight and took 10 rounds to stop him after countless punches in the second fight. Wlad couldn't stop David Haye a cruiserweight. Couldn't stop Mariusz Wach, Bryant Jennings. But Wlad is a big puncher?

Pierre Coezter was a tough guy. You act like other guys have stopped him easier. Larry Donald was only stopped on time in his career and that was 8 years after he faced Bowe by Vitali. By then Donald was past his prime. Biggs earlier on in his career was tough to stop. Tyson took 7 rounds so I guess Tyson couldn't punch either right? Gary Mason a huge puncher took 7 so I guess he couldn't punch right?

Also who cares how disciplined you think either of these guys were? That has nothing to do with who would win a fight. Wlad the glass chin guy who got hurt any time he got hit versus Bowe the guy with a far better chin who never was stopped. Even against Golota when he was past his physical prime he got hit flush numerous times and still refused to quit or be stopped. If you honestly thin Wlad could get hit that many times and not be stopped you should quit watch boxing.

    Pardon?
I'm not the one saying Wlad would knock out Bowe in two rounds as you are the other way round, am I? I think Wlad-Riddick would be a tough fight

Prime Wlad beats Prime Riddick in two out of three bouts in a real career, imo.

Olympic Gold Medallist in 1996 as opposed to getting stopped in 2 rounds by Lewis in 1988, WK never threw his belt in a trash can, or wasn't finished at the age of 29.

Again casual boxing fan what does their careers have to do with a head to head fight? If you think Wlad had a better career then good for you. Wlad defended his title tons of times in a watered down era for heavyweights. Bowe got stopped on his feet as a amateur to Lewis a hall of famer. Wlad got knocked out in 2 rounds as a pro by club fighter Corrie Sanders. Bowe throwing his beat in the trash means what casual fan? Bowe could of been finished after 3 fights. How does that effect your sad little life? How does that have anything to do with Wlad having a glass chin and got knocked down every time the wind blew on him?

Bowe stops Wlad in probably 30 seconds. Pretty much like how Mike Tyson stopped Marvis Frazier.

It's just a boxing chat. Are you alright?

Wlad did have a better career and he wasn't finished at 29, you stupid dumb idiot.

Bowe finishes Wlad in probably 30 seconds according to you, pretty much like Tyson stopped Marvis Frazier. Ok, haha, thanks for the laugh.

I think you're the casual boxing fan who thinks boxing plays out like a video game.

What an imbecile you are, Carl.

And that's basically all Bowe's reputation rests on. They're great wins for sure, but enough to make him some sort of H2H killer? Nowhere near.

Um yeah. Vanquished is hardly the word I'd use. Laboured to victory in unimpressive fashion and lucking out with a DQ are better descriptors.

As for undefeated, who cares? Wlad has more than twice that number on his resume, including two world champs and a number of amateur standouts, before you start.

No single victory against anyone overshadows years of dominance at the top of the division, unless you want to argue that Buster Douglas is a better champion than Larry Holmes. But I don't think you want to go down that route, do you?

Possibly. But Povetkin's an excellent fighter in his own right, and Wlad has a number of other fighters of comparable quality to shore up his resume including Chagaev, Ibragimov, Byrd and Haye, plus numerous top ranked opponents like Pulev, Chambers and Jennings.

I agree with you there. Wlad was a terribly boring fighter with a godawful frustrating style. But that has nothing to do with his quality as a champ or his chances H2H with Bowe. Gatti never beat Mayweather and Froch never beat Ward. Bowe wouldn't beat Wlad.

Marciano was a slow, crude slugger who'd cut to LHW today.

Dempsey was a flailing scrawny windmill puncher who'd also cut to LHW today.

Both men would be utterly smashed by any top HW of the past fifty years.

Yeah, it's cute what those boys have got going on there. I have to give them kudos for their enthusiasm at the very least.

He was known for being a dangerous frontrunner with very fast hands long before he met Wlad. Lack of focus or professionalism had never seen him fulfil his potential, but almost everyone who commented on him remarked on how hard he hit. Is there an element of bigging him up to mitigate Wlad's loss to him? Possibly. But the same is certainly much more true in reverse, calling him a fat golfer, a bum etc. He was a naturally talented and hard punching heavy with a lot of flaws that managed to put it together for one night. Much like Bowe in fact.

Bowe was a heavy enough puncher when he was fighting shorter guys he could impose himself on and gain leverage for his uppercuts. His power at mid to long range was average.

And yes, he struggled against Donald.

Convenient. He was past his best in the second fight, I'll agree, due most likely to the beating he received in the first. He was merely out of shape in the first and badly exposed. It's a perfectly valid fight to rate Bowe's chances on H2H in fantasy matchups.

And Bowe couldn't fight taller fighters, couldn't win jab battles, couldn't close down fighters that didn't want to be closed down, and couldn't avoid taking a punch. Wlad would jab his head off and ruin him in one night.

I'll take Bowe by KO in this fantasy matchup. Bowe in his prime was hard to deal with and the guys that had any sort of success against him fought completely different than Wlad so I highly doubt WK could follow any sort of blueprint. Bowe could fight from the outside, mid range, and up close. Bowe went to the body, had a better chin, and stamina. I see Wlad flailing his arms looking to tie up constantly, while Bowe drags him into a dog fight until Wlad gets worn down and taken out.
