Boots Ennis recently said that Errol Spence is a basic fighter and nothing special....says he has eyes on Crawford.

So if Ennis fought Crawford, in your opinion, who would win?

Jaron Ennis will become a top fighter at 147 and definitely a champion or even unified/undisputed champion there too. The guy is super skilled, he has a great boxing brain and attributes. Add great power and knockout highlight reel finishes to the aforementioned and you have a star in the making.

He is 21 years old and already has 22 fights, +90% knockout ratio. Manage him correctly and bring him along correctly, this guy has every potential to be the next face of boxing. Right now, he's too green to be in with Crawford, but give him a couple of years and he will still get a prime, or very close to prime, Crawford and this will be a high level fight between 2 of the divisions best fighters. If Ennis was to wait until he is 26/27 years old before taking this fight then it may be a passing-of-the-torch sort of fight.

I fully expect Ennis to become a top player in the division.

Guy better steer clear of Crawford or Spence or he might get devistated.

He needs to beat some top 10 names before we know how he would fare against the top dog.

lol you're hyping of him is cringeworthy, reminds of the way people used to talk about Amir Imam being the future of boxing. He's a good talent but he's beaten nobody so far at all so it's way too premature. I have Alexander Besputin as the number 1 prospect at 147.

He'd likely give Crawford all he could handle right now. Look for Crawford to go the, I'm only taking big fights route in a year and a half when Ennis comes knocking. Ennis is clearly a talent, just need to see him against better opposition so we can see how real it is. In my opinion he would beat Porter right now, and he'd likely beat Horn in more impressive fashion than Crawford did.

Terence schools him, Ennis isn't even ready for Porter and those guys yet.

Ennis has a ways to go before he's ready for a Crawford or Spence. He sure as Hell wouldn't beat them if they fought right now.

But, by next year he'll probably be ready to lay an ass whuppin on someone ordinary, like Danny Garcia.

He'd beat the Porter that showed up against Ugas.

He says that about spence because he knows spence is a nightmare style for him. From what i can tell Ennis is vulnerable to pressure fighters. He also knows Crawford isn't as stylistically an issue because unlike Spence, Crawford is one to set shots up and counter, not pressure. In addition to that Ennis can sort of nulify crawfords switch hitting with his own. And it'll be more difficult for Crawford to track Ennis's head movement because its kind of Unorthodox.

Unpopular opinion but as time goes on i think Ennis will have Crawfords number

You are responding to posts made two years ago. Has he talked about this recently?

For whatever reason I had been thinking Ennis was in the 26-28 age range. Damn, he packed a lot of fights into the past few years.

Unfortunately his career will slow down once the big fights come.
