Tucker did far better v Tyson than Berbick did and I don`t feel Larry could have beaten a prime Tyson.

I'll try to answer that Mark ,best way I can .I've got Larry ahead of Tyson ,he did much more in the 80s obviously ,I always felt a prime Holmes would beat Tyson as well .And Berbick for all his fault's did have good win's ,Thomas and Page .Also the first man to take Larry the distance .
Its all subjective Mark and thanks for ur opinion .

Aside from Holmes and Tyson, the list of guys managing the ability to make the grand total of 1 defense is minimal. Weaver, of all people, had 2.

Tony Tucker is possibly too high. I certainly think Mike Weaver should be above him. Tucker beat Buster Douglas for the vacant IBF title that was stripped from Michael Spinks but then lost it after a couple of months against Mike Tyson and that was just about the only notable things that he did through the 1980’s. One good win and going the distance with Tyson in a losing effort. Is that enough to put him above Weaver who started the decade with a upset title winning knockout of the then unbeaten and highly regarded John Tate and followed that up with successful defences against Gerrie Coetzee and Quick Tillis before being surprised and controversially stopped by the fast starting Michael Dokes? Got a 15 round draw in the rematch and that was as good as it got as far as title fights go for Weaver for the rest of the 80s but still I think he achieved more than Tucker did,

I think ur right Ken !
Lookin at it from that point of view ,Weaver did have the more success in the 80 s .Head to Head Tucker would win imo but has far as being ranked on actual fights won etc ,then I'd agree on Weaver been placed higher .
